Perfect for my lamps and ceiling fans. I do not like the LED bulbs. The incandescent are a much softer and more appealing light. This was an excellent value and the delivery was prompt. Thank you!

The first bulb failed after three days. When I removed it, it broke apart in my hand. The second one has been working for a week or so. I am using these bulbs in a well-sheltered porch light so they are exposed to lower temperatures (min. 48-50 degrees) than indoors in a ceiling fan.

they are just 40 watt light bulbs. What more can I say

I use these for ceiling fans and I don't like that they have writing on the bulb that can be seen when in my fan. I think I'll be returning these for GE ceiling fan bulbs that don't have writing on the bulb.

Just what I needed and quick delivery!!

Pretty much a standard incandescent light bulb, getting rare these days with LED's. 40 watts, bright enough,uses standard light socket, and screws in. Information states it will last twice as long as standard incandescent light bulb. A LED bulb will last far longer and be just as bright and use a great deal less energy and cost Wilkes in the long run.

These bulbs are well constructed. The 40 wattage gives just the right amount of light without overpowering the room. The soft glow given off is a great plus. The bulbs are smaller in size compared to most bulb. The packaging kept them safe during shipping. These bulbs should last for years,. They work great while using them on a dimmer switch. No issues with them flickering when adjusting them

40-Watt Double Life A15 Incandescent Light Bulb (2-Pack) --- For what i need these little light bulbs to do im thrilled with them! What they were designed for im not sure, but i use them for my lava lamps and glitter lamps that i use for ambient light in my windows and kitchen counter. With the LED lamp taking over the industry its fortunate that these incandescent lamps still exist. The lava/glitter lamps rely on the heat from these older style lamps to actually function - so i hope they keep making them, Its a great little lamp anbd does exactly what i need it to do! Bright, compact and jsut the right amount of heat! A+

I want to first point out to those of you trying to cut down on electric use that these are incandescent lightbulbs so the 40 watts is the true 40 watts so there is no power savings as there are on LED lights but the cost is much better up front. About the lightbulb they are vibration resistant and are sold as being able to last twice as long as other regular incandescent lightbulbs. They do have the Sylvania logo with wattage marking on the ends so the marking will show when used in a open ceiling fan globe. The are made of sturdier glass than most incandescent lightbulbs and when used in a ceiling fan with 3 globes provide a good amount of light. Being incandescent does give you a true bright white light not like some of the reduced wattage lightbulbs that provide the same amount of brightness which I find are hard to read by.

This is a great bulb for a ceiling fan or for a lamp that serves as a night light. I was looking for an LED bulb but I'm trying these "double life" incandescent bulbs to see if they are comparable in the amount of time it takes to burn out. They are a warm white and good for the night light purposes. For other lamps, I prefer a cool white. Overall, I think these are a good value for the price.

The Sylvania 40 w double life 40 w light bulb is specially designed for ceiling fans. The vibration resistant filament is designed to increase the durability of this A-15 40 watt light bulb. If you are looking for a new bulb for your ceiling fan you should consider this bulb. The increased life of this bulbs makes it a very good value for the price.
