I bought this to do a quick repair to the cable service line going into my house after it hooked by a mower and was broken. Though I am not sure i would use this kit professionally for the average everyday guy who likes to tinker it works great. It did exactly what I needed it to do. Be sure when installing the new connector onto the cable that you slide solid wire core and insulation all the way in. The supplied connectors fit really tight over it the core.

This is an economy item. For the price it works well for doing 1 or 2 connections at a time. For more than that or professional use I would recommend a heavier duty set.

Overall this is a great kit for the weekend diy'er. The tools are light weight but priced accordingly. Price is fair compared to buying the items separate. Directions are good and easy to use. My only complaint is the the latches on the case are very cheap and I don't see them holding up long term.

Tools work fine, but one of the steps is to put the cable into the connector until the dielectric is flush with the end of the connector. I had 5 ends to put on and could only get 2 of them into the connector properly. I spent 3 hours trying to get the cables to slide into the connector before ruining the remainder of the connectors. Was supposed to come with 10, but mine had 9. Has to be a better way. I probably will trash this kit and look for a new solution.

This kit did the trick. Easily created RG6 cable to run through the house to connect my new HDTV antenna to the TVs. Can't get much easier than this.

Bought this set to repair and run some new cat6 in the house. Crimper and cutter are not bad but the strippers are not up to par no adjustments and blade not replaceable. Spend the extra and buy the Ideal ones.

I have spliced Coax cable in the past without any tools. Most of the splices had to be done more than once before they worked right. This kit made it really easy and I have not had to re-splice any connections. Great tool.

This set had everything I needed to to cut and install the cable fittings to the length of cable I needed.

This product works but only occasionally. Following the directions resulted in many failed crimps. By altering the stripped wire lengths, I achieved a few successful crimps. There were many attempts before the tool did what it was supposed to do. Quality tools usually mean that the job is completed quickly and without waste. This tool fails to accomplish the task.

This product would probably not be good for a professional to use day in day out because there is so much plastic used on the tools. But it all works great for a weekend warrior.

I like to DIY most of my own cables, which comes in handy for customized cable lengths and cable management. I purchased this set because all the tools were there to cut and fasten the coax cables. The tools are solid for a home user, but not professional grade. The crimper and wire-cutters are all steel, but the cable strippers are plastic with razor blades, which is the most likely part that would need to be upgraded at some time in the future, but worked well for my needs.

For the price you get 10 compression connectors and a carrying case which is a really good deal IF you're just a homeowner doing this occasionally. I was working in the yard and cut my cable on a Saturday night so it was critical to the family that I fix it immediately. DO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS multiple times as the tools are not idiot proof. There is a knack to it that's explained in the instructions but it's not intuitive at first glance. Once you understand the process it's very easy though. Make sure the white center part is all the way to the end of the tube before you crimp it; if you've never worked with these compression fittings the compression tool does not draw the wire in; YOU have to do it. And it does take a strong hand at times to get the cable fully into the connector. But overall a great kit for the money.

It did what I needed at a much lower price as a kit rather than buying the tool alone.

The cable cutter and crimper are excellent. The cable stripper is extremely flimsy. You have to hold the stipper tightly to cut and strip the sheathing.

Instructions sucked

The stripper in this kit is not professional quality but the rest of it seems to be great. The kit comes with everything you need to make ends that look like they are from the cable company.

Easy to use,durable and works great.

This tool is perfect for a home DIYer who has a few cables to run or repair here and there. The tools are not heavy duty but worked fine for me when I ran a couple of cables. You get all three tools and 10 connectors for a lot less money than buying the separate heavier duty tools that are available at HD (but I think a pro or frequent user would want those stronger tools). The instructions in the kit recommended exposing 1/4 inch of conductor, I had to go longer - probably about 3/8 inch.

I had never done these type of connections before but needed to repair my TV cable. Instructions were very clear and the tools worked perfectly. Very easy.

This product might work a lot better for straight RG6 cable, but we had trouble with using it with Quad shield RG6. The directions were not as clear as I would have liked. Once you know how to do it, the directions are fine, but if this is your first time, go find a video to watch before cutting. The cable with the 3 layers of folded back sheathing is extremely difficult to insert far enough into the connector, and then when you use the crimping tool, it pushes the bottom ring into the connector unevenly. But, it worked. And had everything needed.

Good quality tools. Everything was adjusted properly to cut and crimp coax connections. Nice to have a supply of connections in the kit. Worked perfectly and easy to use.

I followed the instructions for making a new connection end but the connector kept sliding off. I returned the product to the store after I had tried it four times to make a connection. Overall not impressed with this item.
