I figured the replacement would work the way it was supposed to however my room is sitting at 78° when the AC is set to 62 not only that the AC has dripped so violently into my room I have now had to replace the drywall and insulation in my bedroom three times. Not only that it has destroyed my flooring And multiple pieces of furniture from getting wet. The digital display doesn’t work at all, so do not make the same mistake as me and turn it off one time because it will never turn back on again

I bought two Toshiba brand window ac units from here a couple of years ago, and they both have the same problem. They ice over and start leaking into the house something fierce. I legitimately wanted to love these units, and for a time I adored them, but after the year mark the problems started happening. If you’re intending on having this for longer than a year, get a different brand. In other words; buy any other brand ac. This is rubbish. Not worth the money

Very disappointed. The 12000 btu does not bring the temperature down as you would expect. I ran it for hours and it brought the room Down only a few degrees. Must start running it in the morning for it to cool and it does not cool enough. It’s also quite loud. I will try to return.

After 4 months of use the wifi feature stopped working. Tried resetting router/modem and tried removing the profile from the app and setting up a new one. Nothing worked.

Never cooled well the after 13 months one month out of warranty started icing up and would not cool at all. My neighbors only lasted 3 months. On other websites the reviews are very poor I questioned these reviews.

1st time buying this ac brand and when you turn it on, its blizzard cold, even on 70' degrees, you might want to grab a thick blanket and yes, i recommend this product. I decided to unscrew 1 bolt from the back of ac in order for the water to drain.

I bought this Toshiba A/C because it was claimed in the product's spec that this unit has a noise rating of 32 dBA which is super quiet. However, the actual noise level is doubled that, I measured 65 dBA which is far from amazing. In fact I would even say advice average noise. Returning this unit due to fraudulent advertisement.

you will need to mount to a inner wall to maximize potential; i don’t consider it noisy at all perhaps due to placement. I’m happy thus far and it’s enough for a living room. With the energy savings rating as claimed we will note when energy bill arrives.

We purchased this window unit because this summer has been brutally hot! Our central air conditioner has been running non stop and still struggles to cool the house completely. We installed this in our living room area where we have a fireplace and vaulted ceiling. Really helps keep this large room cool. Remember to open the front and keep the filter clean. Also, keep the "fresh air" option button closed in the summer or bugs will get in through that opening outside.

This was my last big purchase before moving in with my son to file disability and my ac unit has stopped working properly I can't go with out ac my brain condition will make me have a heat stroke

I like Toshiba and I Like this AC unit, works Beyond great so far had it for a Month now and I love it yes it's Noisy but as Long as it's Icy cold in my Room definitely have no complaints, but yes it's Noisy and I'd recommend a different U Shaped Unit if noise is a Concern! I put This unit through a Wall and it fit perfect I really like this AC unit looks so cool and works Great, definitely would like less noise!

AC works as expected. But I’m going to need to wrap the whole unit with screening to keep the bees and bugs from nesting in the unit. Horrible design for something that goes outdoors. That’s a problem with ordering online.

I've had this unit for a little over 2 months. I really like it. It cools the room quickly. I''m in a 500 sq.ft. efficiency and it is perfect for this room. I do wish the lowest fan setting was a little quieter, but it's not overwhelming. At night I put it on ECO mode and it comes on and off and keeps the room cool. Perfect for sleeping or watching tv. I really appreciate how easy it is to clean the filter and unit cover. The cover comes completely off, unlike many other units I've had. This makes it easy to clean. The fact that I can monitor the unit with my iPhone is pretty cool too. My only problem with that is that my Wi-Fi signal fluctuates and sometimes I can only look at the readings and not make any changes, but, when the signal is strong I can lower the temperature from anywhere I'm at and have the room cool before I get home. Pretty neat and it saves money too. Oh, and it was easy to install it into a wall. It doesn't have to be a window unit.

This ac doesnt shut off like it should, maybe a firmware issue. But you can set it to 74 snd wake up to it having adjusted itself ten degrees warmer id take it back but nobody has acs now

Very quiet, looks very clean and modern, cools great. Will freeze you out of our 30x15 master bedroom. Love Toshiba!

This Ac is very sleek looking, which was not a real concern for me at first, but I have come to really enjoy after using it for a week. So far so good, runs very cold, gets the room temperature down within an hour, and is relatively quiet. The installation was a bit combersome, as I have a universal braket that must be used on the second floor of the building. Wifi setup took a few tries, but now is the easiest to work and control when I am not home. I love this unit, would highly recommend! Only downside was, I have a feeling this may have been a refurbised unit and sold as new from the retailer (although I love Home Depot and would hope not). The box came without any documentation for the product, no warranty, no user manual, not even instructions for assembly and mounting. The unit itself didnt look damaged, but the back (coils) seem to have been run already. Not thrilled with that aspect, but still enjoy the unit.

Pretty straightforward installation! Its got us cooler than the large unit. Love that it cycles on and off when it reaches the predetermined temps.

Unit cools very well, maybe even too well. Bought 10k BTU size for a 350 sq ft bedroom in an older house that is poorly insulated and because Texas summer heat can be brutal. Probably could’ve gotten away with an 8k BTU size unit for this bedroom but the worst of August summer heat isn’t here yet. This unit is super loud though, even on the lowest fan speed sounds like a jet engine in the window and yes we mounted it correctly such that there’s virtually no vibration being transmitted to the window frame, the loudness is purely the fan noise only. A quick informal test using a sound meter app on an iPad shows 69.2 db average over one minute at approximately six feet away with fan running at lowest speed and the compressor running too, which you can barely hear the compressor at all, that part is very smooth and quiet. All in all I’m happy with the unit, it cools exceedingly well and moves a lot of air. The wifi+smartphone app doesn’t seem ready for prime time either but every brand of “smart WiFi “ window air conditioner on the market seems to be struggling with that also, maybe someday the app software bugs will be fixed with an update but you can read all about that on your smartphone App Store . This A/C is a solid well made unit, Just consider the possibility of loud fan noise if you’re gonna put it in a bedroom.

The Fresh Air Vent Control has sunlight coming in all around it while in the closed vent position. The little metal square that's supposed to keep the outside air out doesn't even fill the opening it is made for. Also there are some microscopically thin strips of styrofoam, that I guess are supposed to be the total amount of insulation between the louvers and the outside world. They are all crumpled, so are not doing any insulating now and they definitely won't be doing any this winter, as I stare now at the outside light and 91° air coming in, while it is set on vent 'closed'.

Does great job so far

I am very please with this unit. I installed this unit in a room around 1 oclock in the after noon in the peak heat of the day . It only took me about 15 mins.to install the unit so I plugged it in once i got it in the window and then finish installing the slider plates in . I walk the when I finish and the whole room was freezing cold. I give this unit 2 thumbs up and if I had to purchase another 1 it would definitely be a Toshiba

I recently bought this toshiba ac to replace lg 10,000 btu, which i had bought 4 weeks ago, had to return it to homedepot which also had an outstanding customer service. The lg sucked compressor constantly going off, barely would cool our bedroom. This toshiba is amazing our bedroom is freezing cold now i have to shut it off =D...and you will love the smart wifi i can turn the ac on before i get home so my room is nice and cool...amazing

This A/C is fabulous! It is relatively quiet and very effective at cooling a large open space. We live in an 1820's farmhouse and were worried we would not be able to find an energy efficient air conditioner that could fit in a small window and still do a good job cooling down a large space quietly. This unit does it all. We are very happy with this purchase. We took the wings off and it fit in a 21" window. It does not dim the lights or blow the circuits. These are all things of concern living in an older house. It is a little pricier than other models, but well worth it. I highly recommend it. FYI: We placed the unit on folded rubber matting designed for shelf liners and that cut the vibrations down, as well.

Great AC unit, easy to install and set up by following the Smart AC user manual. It's quiet and keeps my entire open concept first floor comfy. LOVE the smart option, I turn it on in my way home and the temperature is perfect. It feels like a central AC unit.

This AC cools down my house very well, square footage is around 800- I’m not sure what the exact number is. Last summer I had tried 2 other different air conditioners which did not help at all but this air conditioner worked wonders! It’s also great because with the WiFi, and connecting our phones to it, we can turn it on when we’re about to be on our way back home and come home to a cool house.
