My first pellet grill . Made baby back ribs for Labor Day weekend , followed Traeger recipe , turned out excellent !

Not as advertised
Went to Home Depot in Middletown De, on 7/14/24 saw 2 floor model 780 traeger pellet grills sale price of 799.00. After trying to purchase at check out they said the item wasn’t labeled right and to leave checkout and go to the garden center to check out. ( I assume because there were fewer customers there) Once there about 5 employees were there and said the sale sticker was for a smaller traeger grill which they had out on a cart, I never saw on display ,it all felt verry wrong. I asked. You are not going to sell the grill with the sale sticker on the floor for the price on it. They said no, it ended up being incredibly embarrassing

    I’m really confused
    I see others here who have order damaged.Tired working through their system and I have gotten is one story after another. First they said yes I could return it my carrier they sent UPS but with no box they would not take it. So I called home depot again they sent a new carrier now all I get run around had to wait 14days and now I was told the refund would take another 3 to 5 days. Now I’m told the warehouse has refused and being sent back but no one can find a tracking number. 500 characters

      Same as Other Reviews - Damaged Grill (Twice)
      Two deliveries and two damaged grills. So frustrating as Traeger/HD really need to better package these grills and/or hire better delivery personal. These grills are not cheap so should not easily be damaged. Both times, one of the leg holes was damaged where I had to bend the opening up to be able to insert the leg. 1st one had ding on left side and 2nd grill ding at top right of grill.

        Pre-assembled and arrived damaged, Had to send it back and exchange for a new one,
        Why oh why do you guys pre-assemble these? Too easy to damage in shipping like this. I made sure NOT to click the box that said pre-assembled and it still came pre-assembled and of course, damaged. Whoever strapped this into their truck pulled the strap so tight that it broke the barrel. It had a crake in the right side and the left side was dented in. I didn't notice it till a week later and after I had already used it twice. I called home depot and they are coming to get it tomorrow. They are also dropping off another. If this one is pre-assembled too I will lose it. The box is made to protect the product, LEAVE IT IN THE BOX!

          Stay away from Online Purchases!
          I had to order this online bc my local store chose not to leave any in boxes and assembled them all. Long story short, the box was delivered already opened,grill damaged beyond repair and now I have to deal with reboxing/returning something that should have never made it out of the warehouse. It’s over 100 lbs too… obviously online orders are the local returns shipped back to Houston..,

            Took two
            Ordered online first box arrived damaged but opened it up it appeared to be ok. After putting it together it would not turn on. Called Homedot they issued a pick up slip for it when UPS arrived they would not take it because not in box. I had explained to homedepot that to get it out of the box it was not feasible to put it back in the damaged box. So another call back to homedepot they sent another truck days later they picked up and still WAITING ON refund to credit card. I had purchased another one and it has been delivered in working condition .

              Arrived broken. Traeger customer service awful
              I spent an hour assembling this and then wasted another three hours of my life on the phone with Traeger customer service who wanted ‘proof’ that the auger motor didn’t work before they’d send a replacement. The proof required me to disassemble the entire unit, disconnect the circuit board, cut all the cable ties, and remove the motor. I asked them do you really think I should have to do this after paying so much for a grill and the response was you’ll have to do all this in reverse too.

              Hello, and thanks for your feedback on the Pro 575. While it is hard to comment on your specific situation without knowing the details of the test, three hours does sound very excessive, regardless of what the issue was with the grill. Typically calls for assistance take far less time, including any tests required to make sure that the correct component gets replaced. While it is unfortunate that you encountered so much difficulty, at least putting the new motor in should only take a fraction of the time to complete. If you haven’t watched it already, there is a video showing the steps available on Traeger.com.                   Trust - It’s a Game Changer
                  Definitely a game changer but heads up to newbies…you gotta read up and have a little patience with the new “grill” concept if you’re wanting to straight up BBQ on time limited prep. We got the smallest pro series for easy daily dinner versus our Viking outdoor kitchen but I’m so hooked on this little grill thinking of redoing our whole outdoor kitchen set up. For those new to Traeger - start small and trust - it’s well worth the time and effort!

                  Two damaged Grills delivered
                  Never in my life would I have thought that buying a smoker would be SO difficult. I placed and order for one. It arrived all scratched. Second delivery the bottom was damaged so you can not put the leg on. Beyond frustrating. Home Depot was not pleasant for the first return. They made me wait for it to be picked up which was a week later. They gave me a floor model. All beat up and dusty. The second order was in a new box. The box seemed fine until we took it out of the box. Never again

                      Damage out of the box.
                      The finish on the outside of the smoker has damage. Two spots…same place on front and back. Worse on the back…down to the silver metal. Don’t know if a touch up will be ok because of the heat. Will contact customer support. Haven’t done a cook yet, but the smoker looks great.

                      Got this grill as a Father’s Day gift and the paint immediately began bubbling and chipping off. Is this dangerous to our infant? After less than 6 months it’s rusting all over. It’s a total eyesore—I feel like I’m going to get tetanus just by looking at it. I had heard Traeger’s quality went down in recent years and this was proof that it has. Traeger deemed the horrible rust and paint bubbling as “cosmetic” and refused to honor the warranty. Bottom line, Traeger doesn’t stand by its product.

                        Absolutely horrible, avoid at all costs

                          Worst Customer Service
                          After using my Traeger Smoker for 6 times since purchasing it I noticed that there was paint bubbling on the top exterior of the smoker, just behind the hinges. I have cleaned both the interior and exterior after every use with the recommended spray degreaser and a half roll of paper towels. I used new liners and vacuumed after each use. Traeger refuses to warranty the smoker, accusing me of improper maintenance. This is getting to be a well documented, you've been warned!!!!

                            Outstanding product! Easy to use. Delicious brisket with so many recipe options. Wifi set up is a piece of cake. Made wings and smoked pickles the 2nd night and the kiddos love it! Was always a propane grill guy before purchasing my first Traeger and hard to see me going back. Highest recommendation.

                            Read this review.....traeger is terrible!!
                            3 months old and look at the paint damage. Bubbles on the outside and peeling on the inside. When I contacted them, they simply blamed me for not cleaning properly. I also went to post a 1 star review on the traeger site and my review was never posted. My friends both have Rec Tec and I will be buying that now. Companies like Traeger don't deserve to be around. My grill was cleaned weekly and they simply looked at the picture and said I did it wrong.. WOW!!
