Hi, and thank you for your review of the Signature Blend Pellets. For short term storage, the bag will not need to be sealed, especially if it is kept in a dry location (indoors, if possible). This should actually be done, regardless of the container, to ensure the longest life of your pellets. However, if they are going to be stored for an extensive period of time, it is better to keep them in something a little more resilient and protective than a plastic bag, even one that is resealable. For longer term storage there is the StayDry Pellet Bin, which not only keeps the contents fresh, but also serves as durable, airtight container, and even fits perfectly under our touchscreen grills’ hopper evacuation door to allow quick pellet removal for swapping out wood types and performing regular hopper maintenance.
