the material is comfortable to work with. We just installed it so I have no feedback on performance. Being forced to purchase in pallets of 8 is super inconvenient.

Was wonderful to put in walls in a t shirt and shorts. Keeps the heat out!! Would highly recommend!!

Mineral wool is far superior for sound attenuation. The fibers are less noxious than glass but the dust fills the air will burn your eyes and requires respiration. It does not overfill the cavity and requires staples to hold it in place, hence it will sag. Do not use for exterior wall cavities.

The insulation Factor is excellent, the sound insulation Factor is excellent, the installation in a full width Bay without having to cut the product excellent, it will even stretch lengthways up to 96 in, however, you can tear it across the short way, but you cannot tear it lengthways, the package says perforated lengthways but the12 bags that I got had no perforations on any piece. I would still recommend it, just near impossible to cut lengthways.

Best insulation I’ve ever bought for 3 reasons. 1 it’s not itchy, 2 best insulation for sound barrier and 3 keep room very warm. I highly recommend it plus Home Depot sells it the cheapest !!!!

you can touch it is feels safe and it has a great thermal value working with insulation for over 20 years every product sucks compared to this stuff why is it we dont use more of this and it is the only thing that will go in my house from now on thank you to who ever made this

Easy to install! No itch!!

Wanted to have foam insulation sprayed into the walls of my new 16'x24' workshop but I could not cost justify the $2,100. I purchased the denim insulation because of the sound deadening feature and it has worked out great. I used 9/16" T-50 staples. I tacked the insulation top in 3 places and sides in 2 each studs close to the top and worked down to the floor. That made feeding the insulation behind wires and pipes much easier. I then cut just below the wire/pipe with a dremel Multi-Max just deep enough to allow the wire/pipe to be encased by the insulation and hang properly. Around outlets and switches I used the same process but tore out about 1/2 the depth/thickness so some insulation could be stuffed behind the electrical box. I then stapled every 16"-18" down along each stud to the bottom. The insulation has been up a week for a "sag test" and it has not budged. I feel confident it will stay and I am now ready for drywall installation.

Used in ceiling of my cabin. Stapled strips of webbing across to hold in place until the ceiling boards went in. This was the first time I installed bat insulation so I have nothing to compare it to but I was pleased with how well it regained it's bulk after being compressed in the package. Was easy to work with. The only negative for me was not being able to order the full amount I needed without having to buy almost twice as much as I needed. Made up the difference using cotton batting filler from an old futon! No memorable disappointments with the product. Seemed to keep warmth in last winter even though only 3.5 inches thick... and so far it's seems to be keeping the heat out although it's too early to say for sure.

This insulation was a dream to use! Not only tore along perforations, but I could also tear pieces off with my hands. Love, love, love this insulation!! I can already tell the difference in my garage temperature. Did wear mask as it’s a bit dusty, but no other special covering. No itching at all!

I would have given it 5 stars except really expensive and hard to get. Very easy to work with- no itching, rigid enough to stay where you put it, and easy to pull apart for sizing. Also very effective for sound insulation. Best insulation I've ever worked with.

It was easy to install and is keeping the room much warmer.

The product would have gotten 5 stars but not every piece is perforated. An all perforated bag would've made my job easier. Tearing it by hand does not make it come out even. The product is still relatively easy to work with. Smaller quantity options would also be a plus.

The acoustical properties are as good as Safe'n'Sound and better than fiberglass. Moreover, it is half the cost of Safe'n'Sound and much less than fiberglass. I needed a hanger every 12 to 15 inches and it was difficult to put up this big cotton ball with 1 person - 2 or 3 people is recommended

While remodeling my home, I decided that it would be a perfect time to replace the fiberglass insulation and go green. I read up on the different types and decided this would be easier then blown in insulation. Big mistake. I got both R19 and R30. It is difficult at best to get the insulation to hold in to the studs. Cutting it to size is not fun. Trying to tear it is no easier. I will never use this product again, even if it were given to me free. I tried to return what was left but have been unable. Stay away from it.

I would give this 4.5 stars if possible, but it really is an excelent product. The only cons is it very dusty, and is hard to find without buying a whole pallet (at least here in CO). Some people have reported difficulty cutting this insulation, which I agree is not easy, but it is very easy to tear. I've used Ultra Touch on a few projects now and personally feel it is worth the greater investment. I just put it in a music studio/room I am building, and the sound dampening is very good. I intend to make a few sound baffles out of the pieces I have left. I put the insulation in walls and ceiling. On the ceiling I had to run strings and stapled to hold it in place pre drywall. I also used the staples to tack it in the walls to keep it from settling. The batts are fairly thick and relatively heavy compared to fiberglass insulation. All in all, a great product. I personally like the recycled composition and non-itchy installation a lot.
