Gets the water flow to where you want it and has easy shut-off
This water flow pole is a real asset for cleaning windows that are higher than your arms can reach. It has a nice feature that allows you to shut off the water on the pole rather than running back and forth to the water shut off valve. The pole can also be used with other Unger products depending on what you are working on. There is a multi-purpose soft bristle brush that you can buy separately that will screw onto the pole for washing the car. There is also a nice window washer with a squeegee that can be purchased to work with this product that will screw onto the pole. It enables you to get the water to where you want it and to stop the flow of water when needed. This is very lightweight, useful and economical.
The Unger Pro waterflow pole is a great help when you need a few feet of length to get your outdoor cleaning projects done. When used in conjunction with the Unger attachments found at your local Home Depot, most jobs are done with ease. I'm able to reach the high places, such as eaves and roof trim pieces on the house without having to use a ladder. I can effectively clean the top of my tall SUV with the pole and attachment without a problem. The pole has a very comfortable handle and half way up the length is a very comfortable foam sleeve to help grip the pole. The aluminum and plastic construction makes the unit light in weight yet gives the feeling of sturdy material. I particularly like the "Rocker Style" on/off water valve. A quick flick of your thumb will start and stop the flow of water even under great pressure, no need to use 2 hands to switch the flow. I'm looking forward to finding more uses for this pole in future projects.
Purchased this product to assist in cleaning my siding and gutters, allowed for a further reach. combined with a soft bristle brush head it worked pretty good.

Very Handy Tool
I like this because I can reach into hard to reach areas. I had to clean out a washing machine hose that was clogged and with this tool I could reach right down into the clogged area and wash it out. Very handy
I used this waterflow pole with a brush to wash my car. The pole attaches to the hose and has an on/off switch for the water on one end. It made washing and rinsing the car really easy because I didn't have to keep switching from a sponge to the hose to wet and rinse. The water flow is really powerful. I can see using this to clean all kinds of things outside. The only thing that I would change is the on/off switch because when I was reaching over the top of the car, I kept hitting the button and turning the water on when I didn't want to.
I've used this pole with the soft brush attachment to clean my corrugated roof and it cleaned very well. The water flowed easily. My only problem is that I kept hitting the on/off button when I was scrubbing so I had to adjust my grip. Thankfully the weight of the pole and the brush are still light enough together to get the job done. Other attachments besides the brush are available.
I'm 6'2" and would prefer a 20' pole, but 4' doesn't kill my back; I have the Unger "soft" brush that is softer-than-feathers-soft, so there's no point in trying to put force behind it; it's a rinse and near-polishing brush with squeegee; rather than leaning in on it you actually lean back a bit to keep the weight of the hose off the brush.
I haven't had any problems with the valve nor threads, but I rarely shut off the water. If you want to tickle your gelcoat, this pair can't be beat.
This pole is indispensable to be used with the waterflow brush. The pole helps the brush clean by allowing you to control the amount of water and turn off water flow while you work. I've never seen anything like this and it's a great idea!
I was very impressed with the water pole. The pressure is great if you need to reach long areas. The best part of all is you can hook a squeegee or a broom to the water pole. This water pole has many purposes! I couldn't be more satisfied!
attaches real easy to a brush seems to have some water leakage when water is on and also kinda hard to turn handle under pressure

Not a miracle worker but it's OK.
There is really only one issue about this device that purchasers should know. Once the bristles are wet they are very soft, so you cannot expect to scrub anything off whatever surface you are cleaning. It is effective mostly as a rinsing too. That said, the shutoff valve seemed to work fine and the fitting allowed a secure attachment to a standard garden hose. It is very light as well although with the weight of a hose full of water, you don't really care.

Faulty design - leaks at valve to pole connection
The threaded male fitting side of the shutoff valve is not long enough to seal with the base of the female connection on the pole. There were two washer inserted to make up the difference. However, from a licensed plumber since 1974, this seldom works. Is there anyone at Home Depot that does any quality check? This is not the only hose connection problem I have seen.
