We got this online. Shipping was quick and it was packed nicely in heavy plastic. It was raining day it got delivered and rug did not get wet. There is edging on the back that seems to help prevent the rug from sliding. So far the shag is easy to clean and a nice looking grey. This rug however is not made in U.S.A. and was made in Turkey. We decided on this since its antistatic, doesnt shed and water repellent.

I LOVE the way this rug looks. I have always had very traditional rugs in my home, either a fairly short, dense pile rug or wool orientals, a mix of both.  I selected this  8' x 10' shaggy rug as a nice change; I like shaggy rugs.  For me it has a wild, but beautiful, artsy, playful, untamed feel; I love it.  The color is described as ivory; it as a light cream color, definitely not snow white.  It is a perfect, neutral color, won't show the dust/dirt like snow white would.  All edges are very nicely bound (see photo).  It also has a cotton backing; the pile height is 50 mm; the yarn is 100% polypropylene, hence colorfast, water repellent, STAIN RESISTANT (WOW!);  resists mildew & water damage, and is easy to clean; it was made in Turkey.  It reportedly won't shed. Polypropylene rugs tend to be less costly, hence I consider them especially ideal for those times/places where you don't want to invest a lot of money in a rug (ie. dorms, temporary housing, second home, when you are on a low budget, etc...).  I remember previously reading that polypropylene rugs are very durable, and I know they are water resistant, so I placed another rug of the same material right by the door of a main entrance.  There I know I am exposing it to a LOT of weather abuse in the form of wet shoes/boots, also sand, but I would rather eventually ruin, then replace, a less costly rug than one of my wool orientals.  It is also nice knowing the moisture will not produce mold or mildew since this material is water repellent. This rug is lovely... and again, with a "FUN" feel. I have no regrets in selecting this shag rug.  It arrives rolled up. Once unrolled, it needs a little time to relax so you no longer see where it was folded, but I expect that to be very short-lived; it also looks better with carpet padding beneath it which gives it a little lift, makes it's appearance more pronounced, also makes it more comfortable to walk on so your feet enjoy the comfort of sinking into it; carpet padding is also very inexpensive. In the end it is a very attractive rug which I think adds a lively, wild side to any room; I LOVE IT! If the pile was more dense, I would have given it a "5", but then I am not sure if it would look as wild and fun if it had a denser pile. I like a dense pile because they tend to last longer, but this material is expected to be durable. No regrets, I am glad I chose it.

This is a clean looking shag rug. The color is really nice and a soft ivory. The rug is a little thin compared to many others that I have purchased recently, however they make up for it with a really well crafted product. The stitching is seamless and they have added a border that I think will keep this rug together for a very long time. My only real complaint is that the shag is not a very soft, but hopefully after a few runs with the vacuum it will soften up a bit more.

Good value for this rug. It’s a nice cream color that is easy to vacuum on high carpet setting. It comes folded due to size but it’s easy to remove the fold crease since it’s not too heavy. It feels soft and of good quality. It’s also very cozy to lay on it and relax because it’s in my daughter’s room and she likes to lay on the floor to read so it’s perfect!

Love it and easy to clean

Pure Ivory is an ideal colored rug for placement underneath a bed or to frame a sitting area in the bedroom. It's a very pretty soft white and isn't quite as yellow looking like the picture from the manufacturer. I love it. A neutral base, such as this gorgeous Unique Loom Pure Ivory Rug, will compliment any decorating scheme in a variety of rooms. A mirrored coffee table would look so beautiful together with this rug.

Was looking for a rug to put under a couch in a great room. Bought this sight unseen based on what's on the HD website. It was delivered rolled up inside a plastic sheath. It unrolled easily and lays reasonably flat immediately. There is some curling up of the very ends of the rug which can take a while to flatten per the instructions. The issue I have with the rug is the coarseness of the shag pile. It looks much more dense and orderly in the website pictures. In actuality, it's longer, coarser and less dense than it appears in the pictures.

The pile on this shag rug is not very high. It is shag style but not too thick. I had to ruffle it up after removing it from the packaging because it was tightly packed. It loosened up after a couple of days. It is a soft neutral gray that can blend into any color scheme. It is soft to walk on with bare feet, which is nice. It is a nice size to put into a room to make a cozy sitting area.

Beautiful rug, ready to go, just unfold and set flat, it will flatten out in a day. This is shag, but not super long 70s shag The pile is about an inch deep and feels really nice underfoot. It doesn't hold pet hair, vacuums easily. A few passes and the pile jumps back up again. It does not get wound up in the vacuum cleaner like long shag can. Dimensions are spot on the specs. Backing is standard rug backing, thick, strong and will keep the rug flat and not allow it to roll up or bunch underfoot. It has nice taping along the edges that help hold it in place on the floor. I love the color, a nice off-white and the shag look gives it depth and dimension. Great for almost any decor, but it lends itself to more modern looks. This will work over short pile carpet, tile and wood floors. Highly recommended.

Unique Loom Solid Shag Cloud Gray 7 ft. x 10 ft. Area Rug This is for an older house with mostly Terrazzo floors. We recently got grandkids and wanted to make sure they had a soft good looking place to play. This is a well made carpet. Made from fibers that will last decades with proper cleaning and little UV exposure. Easy to vacuum with a power head. Lies flat. You may need an underliner depending on the floor surface. However a heavy coffee table or other furniture will do the trick as well. The neutral color goes with everything. It made the dog happy too. Great for the playroom or active family room.
