Wanted to change our master bath to a vessel bowl and updated faucet and drain. Vigo had the only products that met the requirements. We just love the new look.

Like a couple other reviewers have said, as soon as water covers the top of this drain, it traps air underneath and won’t drain. If I spin my fingers over it and create a tornado, with air in the middle, then it’ll drain faster, but the design of the holes traps air over the top so it doesn’t work smoothly like you’d expect. Need to figure out how to uninstall and replace with a pop up drain.

Bought it to pair it with new Vigo vessel sink and Vigo faucet. Like one other reviewer said, the water draining is very slow because of air flow and collects scum and dirt because of it. I might have to replace it with a pop up. Very disappointed.

I love the look of this grid drain!

I initially bought a different drain off the shelf at the store but I realized it was for an overflow sink (i.e. it had an overflow hole). Since my sink is a vessel sink without overflow this wasn’t ideal, so I bought this one instead. It seems to be a standard fit and was very easy for once in awhile diy girl to install by herself (me). It’s solid, the connection hardware (nut and gasket) provides a really tight seal. I hope it doesn’t start rusting like my previous one did… I’ve had it for a month now and no issues whatsoever. I would recommend!

The drain was purchased with Viggo glass vessel sink. While it is a 1-1/2" drain, it requires a larger 1-3/4" hole in countertop. In my case it was granite which required the purchase & use of a diamond finger angle grinder bit to enlarge. Also not included was the special contoured mounting ring (aka stand) to go between the round bottom glass sink and flat hard counter surface. This required communication with Viggo Tech Support and another special order. Finish product is very nice.

Looks great & fits Vigo sinks perfectly, but drainage is terrible... Rinsing soap bubbles or anything is a pain. Once water covers the holes, the surface tension plugs them and air can't escape (new plumbing, no clogs). To verify this was the problem, I filled the sink with water, held a straw over one of the holes and blew threw it to clear the hole. Then air was allowed to escape up the straw and the water started draining much faster. Does anyone have a remedy for this poor design?

It's very nice, only thing is the guy who put my sink in was worried because it does not have an over flow.

This was easy to assemble. I had a Vigo faucet and was in search of a matching drain. Not sure why this Vigo drain wasn't part of the package because it matches perfectly.

I love this sink. It evokes thoughts of smooth running waters. Perfect for a bathroom. This is my third of same kind. Always a re-do.
