Working great to start plant for this years garden.

I have wanted a good plant lite for a long time. I looked at multiple garden & hardware sites and this was the best value. It looks great and my plants are thriving. Installation was simple: a pair of hooks in the ceiling and chain to hang it. Love it!

Researched competitive prices and decided on this unit. I read that there were some minor issues but they have obviously been fixed! It works great as an aquarium fixture and copper finish looks good in the living room.

It works very well for growing plants in the winter months.

The light works great. No problems thus far. Getting ready to buy another one.

I shopped around before picking this light. Found this online when looking for more lights for my tropical and desert plants that I keep inside. I really like how two of the bulbs can be turned off. The only thing I wish it had is a pull chain to turn it off. I bought 4 and will be buying more. Very easy to install. A really great light for the price. I am now able to have plants year round that are not native to my region.

This product arrived at my home in good condition and is preforming exactly as we wanted it to do.

Came assembled one bulb loose fin the package. worked fine for the first month of so then ballast went out unable to find product information to replace it. the bulbs lasted about a 6 weeks Home depot does not carry grow lights for this fixture in store. its a nice looking fixture and definitely puts out the light when it works but having brand new bulbs last six week and a ballast a little longer looks can be deceiving.

The light from this fixture is intense and the reflectors focus it downward effectively. The included T5 bulbs are high output (HO) and produce 5000 lumen each. Compare that to a T8 bulb with a maximum of 2600 lumen. This is the most important reason for going with T5 over T8 or T12. The growth rate of plants under these bulbs is outstanding. The fixture is handsome, lightweight and simple to install. There is heat output with these but it's less than with a T8 of lower lumen. ViaVolt has a winner with this product and I highly recommend it.

These lights are more expensive than the basic lights you can get, but the finishing touches - bulbs already installed, two switches per light, daisy chain plugs, pre-installed hanging cables, are WELL worth the extra money.

I have never tried to winter plants in the house before because of no place sunny. I invested a lot of money on plants for Fairy Gardens this past summer. After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned about attaching the light to the ceiling and having it come down on my plants. I believe this unit was constructed very well and after hanging it I am confident that it will stay put with no alterations. My plants appear as though they love there new home inside after being outside all summer. They have been in the basement with very little outside light and a 5 hour timer on the grow light each afternoon for the last 4 weeks.

After reviewing several different options, I decided on this for winterizing my garden, only downfall, I think I should have ordered two!

The product was shipped promptly and came as described. The fixture is very light weight and puts out a lot of light. I'm very happy with the price and quality. I plan on getting a few more for growing my vegetables indoor.

When I received my Viavolt T5 4 ft. 4 light fixture it was damaged. Viavolt sent me a fixture they had repainted and shipped back out. It had a very visible dent on the top of the fixture. Then in less than two weeks one of the hanging cables pulled out. This fixture was poorly made and I would recommend buying one elsewhere.

No problems with shipping got it quick no damage will be getting more.

Quality is great and works great I would buy again

received light in good condition,took it out of box and plugged it in and it has worked great since.Light output is great,seedlings are doing better inside than the ones outside.Will be buying another one.

Light fixture components are too fragile, Lost function of one bulb mount when changing bulb (already off warranty). Fantastic light spectra, plants strive in vegetative state.

The light seems well made and worked well for 2 weeks and then failed. I'm not an electrician but I think the ballasts are defective.

When I saw the price for this unit I was surprised and immediately purchased one. This unit had four lights and the New Wave fixture only has two... and this one was already $60 cheaper than the former. However: it arrived with one of the bulbs broken. No real biggie, so I replaced it. But two of the bulb fixtures constantly burn out the bulbs. I replaced them two times before giving up. The bulbs only lasted 24 hours and were not that bright to begin with. I'm suspected either a product flaw or some sort of major damage during shipping. I would not purchase another one.

I purchased this as my first grow light and am very pleased. i moved my seedlings from a sunny window to under the grow light and i noticed a significant increase in growth in just one day! in fact you may need to adjust your planting time for faster growth. however it does give off some heat and it looked like my very tiny seedlings got a bit droopy at first. it may be better to wean them on to this light if they are not used to it. i also do not put the plants as close to the light as some say (2-3 inches) but more like 6-8 inches and they seem to do just fine. the light came promptly after i ordered it and in good condition (i live rurally). i did not want to place hooks in the ceiling so i made a simple frame for it and that is working well. the light is a bit on the heavy side so it may be helpful to have someone to help hang it but i was able to do it myself. So far i am very pleased with this light and i am probably going to order another!

Sprouts are getting too big, fast! Wish the outside soil would heat up, to let planting begin!

I start tomato and pepper plants indoors each year. This new lighting (I was using 4 T40 bulbs for the same space) has about doubled my growth rate!. I'll plant them about a month later next year. However, this fixture does emit a lot of heat, so I'm going to need to sort out some ventilation. I used to leave a heat mat on day and night to control temperature, but it's now too hot during the day to just leave the mat plugged in all the time. This is the best value fixture for a 4-bulb T5

The product does exactly what I purchased it for (seed starting), although it arrived with a broken light. After a closer examination I felt it was the connector because I tried another bulb and the connector would not turn enough to work. I was going to give this fixture another try, but they were backordered.

This product looks very nice. It's bulky and a bit heavy so I would say it's slightly difficult for one person to install. I have it in the basement and am attaching it to the first floor joists. I turned it on and it works, I won't actually use it for about another two weeks to start my vegetable seeds. It's already assembled and the bulbs are installed.

These things are bright! Bought one and was pleased enough to buy a couple more. Ample packaging to protect against shipping damage. Well made & sturdy-looking steel frame with nice overall fit and finish. Wire cable hangers pre-installed and ready for mounting. This thing is really well built. Couldn't be happier.

I bought one of these and a week later, I bought another, it's that good. I searched everywhere to try and find a better deal on any T5 HO fixture and this just can't be beat. It's quiet, bright and sturdy. The T5 HO fluorescent is energy efficient and plants love them. Now I can give my seedlings the jump start they need before moving outdoors and even grow in the winter.

Excellent light and working very well for my lemon tree. Shipping was fast and the product was ready for use within minutes and very easy to hang. The tree is now thriving and I couldn't be happier and would purchase again

This Grow Light is perfect: thin profile, silent, with pleasant and effective brightness. My giant jade plant is content under it until next summer when it can return outside.
