This mulch has been my go to for years at one of our rental properties. Great color and the 2cu bag size is great for laying out strategically and spreading to fill (& the top is easy to open at the seam)

While spreading it, I was surprised to find brown colored water bottle lids and brown colored fabric. My little dog found a brown colored bone and was gnawing on it! As others say, it's not mulch as it's predominately twigs, branches and sticks. Terrible quality. Do not buy!

Some of them were wet and moldy

I purchased several bags of this mulch. Despite having IDENTICAL packaging and buying on the same day at the same store, one bag had large pieces (like my prior purchase that match the rest of the mulch I had layed down) but two bags were finely shredded! Also all three bags were filled with trash (labels, bottle caps, plastic pieces). I can't return them because I already opened them --and dumped them out before I realized the difference. :-(

This is the 3rd time I purchase this mulch. Each time, I get some sort of bulb growth emerging out of the mulch after a month or 2. The 1st and 2nd I thought it may have been a fluke. This time is the worst by far with many more bulb growths all over my yard where I put this mulch down. It's a very hardy bulb plant too. I have to spray killer on them several times before they start to die off. I believe it's a flowering plant and it starts from a fairly large bulbs. VERY ANNOYING!!!!

Within 24hrs of being laid out 3/4 of it has turned a different color. Absolutely not satisfied. 32 bags wasted and $127 wasted.

I ordered 50 bags of premium brown wood mulch, which I’ve used many times in the past and I’ve been happy with the product. This time the mulch was evidently mixed with steer manure, and it stinks to high heaven after my gardener emptied all the bags in the garden. My neighbors are complaining about the smell.. nowhere on the label or in the description did it say there was steer manure mixed in the bark. At the bottom of the pallet, there was an empty bag that said steer manure, but it’s clear there was steer, manure bmixed in every bag of the bark mulch, because of the very obnoxious odor.

This 2 cu. ft. bag of Premium Red Wood Mulch is a great product that I would highly recommend. It is made of 100% redwood, which is one of the most durable woods available, so it is very long-lasting. The mulch is a nice red color that adds a nice aesthetic to any garden or landscaping project. It is very easy to spread and level out, and it helps to prevent weeds and retain moisture in the soil. It has a nice aroma to it that is not overpowering, but still adds a pleasant scent to the area. The price is also very reasonable, making it a great value for the money. Overall, this mulch is an excellent choice for any landscaping project.

I used to like this mulch. The coverage was amazing but whatever they did it is now extra chunky. Not only that the bags aren’t even full anymore. The pic with the bags the right one is one I had vs the left the one I just bought. It is about a 1/4 empty plus the pieces are large so you only get coverage equal to half of the bag on the right. The other pic is coverage of 3 bags of the new. Very disappointing product. This is now a no buy for me

Not all mulch options appeared on line and I’m sad about that because i would not have purchased this to begin with. Purchased 6 bags to help with the Texas heat and to try and save plants in flowerbeds. Popped open the first bag and began to spread. I immediately noticed the large strings of wood, large chunks of some type of roots…, and a piece of actual pallet . I stopped and said oh, heck no, I’m not putting this in my flowerbeds. I packed up the remaining bags and returned them. Walked HD and found the Texas Native mulch. Someone has torn a bag open and i could see and feel what looked like a double mulch so purchased these. Don’t waste your money on the Vigoro brand. All looked and felt like chunky mulch.

Great product. Matched the Grey exterior of the house nicely.

I’m not sure how to execute the 2-year guarantee, though sadly ours looks extremely ok’d after just a few months.

I only use mulch occasionally; I bought this for a garden pathway I built.

This is the mulchiest mulch I’ve ever mulched with! It’s shredded wood dyed brown - what else can you really say about mulch?

Purchased 12 bags. Come home after my gardener spread out. This looks terrible. Color and texture are totally different. This is unacceptable.

It was red and not waterlogged. Got 18 bags into the car and went to work. Plastic bags cut well with sharp box cutter. Removed offending weeds. All weeds were offensive anyway. Went with less than 8 sq ft per bag to insure > 3-inch-deep covering. Looks great as it usually does when placed.

I have found so many pieces of trash in these bags of mulch from metal twist ties to pieces of plastic and metal. Dog vomit mold starting growing on it shortly after in several areas and I have discovered 3 different variations of their brown mulch. One light brown, one almost black and a medium brown. It's hard to do a large job when you don't know what color brown you are going to get in the bag. Stick with a quality brand and stay away from Vigoro.

Quality and value product especially when you find it on sale. Would buy again.

As i was pouring out my mulch half of the bags were white and chunky. It made the mulch look awful

It’s mulch, it’s red and it prevents the weeds from coming up. The yard looks great with the fresh mulch. The color lasts for more than a year,

I should have learned from previous years not to buy this mulch. Every year we find pieces of debris, from plastic to metal. This year we had the misfortune to get cut by a piece of glass with a very sharp edge. I imagine there is zero quality control on what goes in the bags.

This mulch is complete junk I’m not even sure they shred it at all most pieces in the bag are over 3 inches long and very bulky. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy it.

My only issue was the smell was so strong it made my eyes sting so i had to keep taking breaks to walk away wipe my eyes with a wet rag and breath for a minute.

I picked up 5 bags to finish a flower bed and found it loaded with nails. I pulled 15 large nails out of one bag alone. The mulch looks nice enough and will do it’s job, but I wouldn’t recommend using it in areas with high foot traffic or animals. No one needs a nail or piece wire in their foot.

Purchased bags to freshen up existing mulch. Has to throw away at least 1/4 of each bag. There were pieces of wood 5in x 2in. Reached out to distributor customer service and have not heard back in over 1 week. Not a company I want to do business with.
