I like to change the wick filters more often than the recommended frequency. Even though I have very good water and put in
the additive, my humidity stays at a more constant / proper level when fresh wick filters are installed, and the price of them at Home Depot is the best I could find, I feel it is worth it. I think (hope) winter is over for this year and I have cleaned and stored my humidifier for the summer. I had ordered and received extra wick filters so I am ready for next winter.

I need to replace these filter every few weeks since they get hard from minerals build up as the water evaporates. Otherwise they don't provide much humidity. It is easy to order them and pick them up at the store or have them sent to your address if you wish.
