This whole thing has unfinished edges which end up scraping ur bucket and leaves plastic shavings in ur mud. Ruined my whole bucket of compound. It was more cost effective to just write off the bucket of compound then to sit there and pick all the plastic shavings as they were leaving streaks on the wall. Very disappointed bc the one I had bought years ago didn’t have this issue.

The mixer worked great for mixing dry wall mud for textured walls.

Worked great, better than I expected, even using my little Ryobi battery powered drill. Had a 5 gallon bucket of compound that completely separated, this made it usable again in just a couple of minutes.

Will be using often and is durable

The mixer paddle has sharp edges and as you mix the joint compound, it scrapes against the wall of the plastic bucket and you end up with plastic shavings in the compound. It’s really irritating, having to remove the plastic shavings off the walls.

I wanted a plastic one and the same shape but could not locate one in the store. The metal ones are hard on buckets.

The cast metal head on this mixer has sharp edges along the sides and at the very bottom where it meets your mixing bucket. This lack of finishing from the manufacturer will cause fragments of plastic to blend into your drywall mud, requiring you to pause every two minutes to pick out bits of plastic from your work. I was forced to sit at a bench grinder with this thing in an attempt to dress the edges properly for the next job. These flaws make this item an expensive option.

Sure does do what it’s supposed to.

Best whip out there. I always cut the shaft down about 8 inches so if I leave it in a bucket it can’t jab or poke me in the face. Would last forever if they didn’t get stolen from me all the time.

Metal burrs on the edge were craping plastic into the mix from the 5 gallon bucket I was using

So I haven't used yet but looks sturdy. Comments say sharp edges . I say take some sand paper or file to them then try. I'm sure this will help with the chips off the bucket 🪣. I'll get back after using it too let you all know how it whipped it up .

Works great and mixes quickly. Just be sure not to use the orange buckets, lots of chips.
