It was too expensive as most wood is these days but I made some really nice picture frames from it. It was straight with no cupping.

BOARDS WERE STRAIGHT AND NOT CUT. RED OAK ACTUAL HAD A GOOD HUE OF RED. USED FOR NEW KITCHEN COUNTER TOP. PICTURES ATTACHED. ALSO TO MAKE THE COUNTER TOP I RESAWED AND PLANED THE 3/4 PLANKS TO 1/4 IN FOR THE TOP.

This board was cupped and I chose poorly

This Oak board was perfect as a test piece for an upcoming project.

Nice grain, fairly smooth

Too expensive for the quality. Boards are cupped and ends are not very straight. Rough spots on boards poorly sanded. Had no other options for this job took 5 boards to find enough usable wood for the project

The best part of my shopping experience was the helpful associate who carefully inspected several boards to choose the best one for my project. He then carried the wood to the saw to cut it for me. He did such a a clean job, I hardly had to sand it. It's a beautiful piece of wood and made a great looking shelf!

Twice the price of a local store so I returned it

It's wood...oak to be exact. I asked for 16 inches and got 15 inches. Fortunately it got me by without too much trouble. Always verify where they're cutting it to make sure you get the length you need.

Good quality and being able to cut only the length needed

I spent way too much time trying to find boards at the store that were not warped, damaged or over-graded, especially for the premium price being charged. I only needed a couple of good boards, going to two stores netted me only 3 1x2x8 and 1 1x8x8. I would avoid purchasing this product at Home Depot if possible.

The wood requires planing and jointing if you're going to stain or paint it

There was 8” of “snipe” that had to be cut off the end. Luckily I had bought more than I needed.

Beautiful board. Horrible price.

Way to expensive. Definately not 1" x 8", almost 3/4 x 7 1/4. Had to look for one that was not warped and had to get one with a gouge out of the corner. Hope when routered it will fix it. Only buy hardwood here for emergencies. Rater get rough cut at much lower price and join and plane myself.
