I just recently purchased a Summit S-670. It is replacing a Summit 670 THAT IS 30 YEARS OLD! I rebuilt my first one once over the years and it STILL works. I now have 2 at least for a little while.

Weber Summit E-670 NG
Love it! We replaced our old Summit from the late 1990's. I have appreciated all the features and large cooking area (which is a major reason we stuck with the Summit). I am new to rotisserie cooking and used it (so far) to make duck, beef roast, and a pineapple. All worth the effort. I like that the smoker box has a dedicated burner. The sear station is more handy than I originally believed it would be. It is great when I sous vide something and just want a quick sear.
Still trying to figure out the hot spots and cool spots. We made bratwursts and had the whole grill loaded. There was some juggling around with the hot/cool areas above the same burner lines.
I like the storage for the rotisserie forks and rod. Side burner works as advertised. Boiled water for corn on the cob while doing other tasks. I did have an issue with the burners getting blown out when set low on a windy day, but -wind-, what can you do?

Best grill ever
I bought this for my wife February of 2015. It was to replace my smaller, 10 year old Weber grill I gave to my parents. She loved it then, and she still loves it today. The only problem is 1 door blows off during tornados.
Pictures are from summer 2015 when our deck was repainted. And today, Fall of 2020 when we are getting a new deck. The grill outlasted the deck!
I will never buy anything other than a Weber. Every couple years my neighbors put their old grills at the curb. Not me, 22 years with just 2 Weber grill that are still being used.

Finish not holding up
I bought this when I built my house in 2013.It still cooks decent but I am very disappointed with the finish quality. It began rusting and flaking within a year and now looks like junk. When I showed it to the Weber dealer where I purchased it who told me it had a lifetime warranty on the stainless steel, they said unless it rusts completely through it is not covered. 'Ive bought trucks that cost less than this thing and they lasted longer.

Not what Weber used to be
Often times when companies go public the quality gets sacrificed to increase profits for the investors. This seems to be happening with Weber. I had my Genesis from 2010 and it was rock solid and reliable. I upgraded after 12 years to the summit expecting to get an even more upscale product but i was very wrong. The knobs are flimsy and almost to sensitive to be on an outdoor grill. I do like how the sear station and rotisserie work. The stainless grates are still well made but the hood and doors are thinner than previous years. Is this grill worth the money I would say yes but I don't see this grill lasting more than 8 years. Hopefully Weber reads these reviews.

E 670 6 years old
I have had Weber's for 30 years and this E 670 was something I wanted for a long time . The old one is 20 year sold and still works like new.
The 670 is a wonderful BBQ. I have it for at least 6 years now it is easy to maintain and keep clean and I use it at least once a week and in even -20 C temperatures. I like the infra red burner - I get chicken started on direct heat turn to indirect heat and put on the infrared burner. The chicken gets crispy with no flare up and I turn it once. The chicken is juicy and delicious. Steak to perfection every time with controllable sear marks. Roasts, sausages , pork chops beautifully done. It is robust reliable and easy to clean. I have had a knob break in -20 c but the replacement is easy to get and inexpensive.

DON"T BUY THIS GRILL!!!!!
This grill is an equivalent to a tinker toy compared to the 14-year-old grill it replaced. The Lights are attached to the Lid Handle--to use the lights the lid must be open, and the heat of the grill can roast the light fixtures which are battery operated--batteries and high heat are No Nos--The searing system for searing a steak is inferior to many other Grills, especially the our former Grill which seared to perfection--The Back metal sheet makes a popping sound as it expands or contracts as heat is raised or lowered, it's too thin--The rotisserie work fine and is easy to set up and use and it has a back of the grill infra-red burner for browning the skin--as many other grills have. I bought this grill because of the name of their brand name--had many of their Charcoal Grills and loved them, including their largest model, which I called "BIG BUBBA" as it could handle 25 to 30 burgers at a time. and great at the Country Club BBQs. My recommendation is, "Check other grills on the market before you invest in a costly grill of this type. There are many other finer grills out there " I wish a could return this grill, that's how dissatisfied I am.

Nice BBQ but complicated
Complicated BBQ with lots of gadgetry so read the owners manual thoroughly. Control knobs are fragile and tend to snap off if you dont push, turn, then push then turn. We've got through two knobs in less than a week.

My Second Summit
I'm basing this review on a grill we USED to own, not the new one since I haven't had the new one long enough to form an opinion. However, it's essentially the exact same grill we inherited 7 years ago from the owners of our former home, with perhaps a few very minor updates. I was very pleased with that grill (large surface area, good heat control, relatively easy to clean), and from what I've seen so far of the new one I'll have little to complain about.
Assembly was relatively simple and connecting to the natural gas stub on the patio was painless (despite a balky bit of pipe). All burners fired up the first time and I'm looking forward to putting the grill to work!
My only words of caution to others are:
- When it's new the interior is all shiny stainless steel. That won't last.
- Don't forget there are batteries involved that will need to be replaced from time to time.
- The "flavorizer bars" (the metal bars over the burners) WILL corrode and need to be replaced.
- Cleaning the large grease catch pan is a messy business. I tried lining ours with foil, but the foil just glued itself to the pan making an even bigger mess. And don't forget to empty out the smaller drip pan.
I researched other grills in this size range and I still think this is probably the best bang for the buck. Happy grilling!

Poor quality
I have owned Weber gills for 30 years. Each time I bought a grill I "upgraded". This upgrade resulted in the doors not shutting and staying shut after a few years. The knobs and starters are problems. The seer station rusted out and now has a gaping hole. The grill isn't worth the money and Weber certainly doesn't stand by its products in the same way they used to. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Weber.
