[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this ml microwave! It's small size worried me a bit but those fears have subsided. This microwave is very aesthetically pleasing but powerful and easily fits everything I need warmed up. The vent is also quite powerful. My only complaint is the light underneath. It's not as bright as I had hoped but we have good lighting so it's fine.

A great unit, low profile does not take away much interior space, if any! Still getting used to what it can do, so far it does a great job! Only negative is with the install, the instructions were a little vague as to how to do the vent system, otherwise install was a snap! Recommend watching the you tube video on installation, makes it so much easier.

Only 1 month old but performing well. More power than my old counter top model. If you are handy install is easy. You must pay attention to measurements though if matching a existing rear vent. The template/mounting bracket is a bit flimsy and mine was bent/warped inside the packing material. Whirlpool should make the vent covers you have to move and replace for roof/wall vent out of a thicker metal and maybe add a gasket material. I had to bend mine slightly to make them seal the openings to stop air leakage from the top of the unit. I will probably add some anyway as a small amount of exhaust still seeps by. The lights still need to be improved as the LED it has is not bright enough on high to see the cooktop well. I added LED strip lights to brighten. The fan with 4 speeds does a really good job even pulling smoke/steam from the front burner area. On high it is not much louder than the old Broan hood it replaced. The sounds from the unit are also low volume even when set to loudest so have to watch your timer.

When Whirlpool first released this microwave, I thought it was the nicest thing ever. I purchased one about two weeks ago at the Home Depot. Had it installed by their contractor and I am absolutely pleased with it. It adds a nice, modern touch to my kitchen. It's quiet and the wattage is just right for me and my small Family needs. I would recommend this product, mostly definitely. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!

There's a couple videos online that make the job very easy! My wife and I lifted it into place and I installed outlet box and template to mount! I had to trim the 2 washers for the front thru the cabinet mounts using clamped blocks for drilling holes in cabinet made a nice clean install with no blown out particle board or chipped wood! Fan speeds are nice wist the light was brighter but I'm going to check into that! It's not terrible but It is a bit dim for use by itself. Just installed today and so far we love it! Big ole microwave off the counter and put a toaster oven in it's place! Cabinet opening was 12" deep and approx. 30: wide. ; )

Overall a good microwave with lots of features. Love the sensor cooking menu. Even though it is low profile, still big enough to fit almost all that we used to put in our old regular size microwave. The buttons on the outside of the microwave (Light/fan and start/stop) often take several attempts before they react. The door is auto open, but would prefer that it have a auto closing mechanism like I have seen with other hanging microwaves. It was easy to install myself with the included template/mounting bracket and instructions.

Works just like any other microwave, the controls inside the door will be an adjustment. Our only real complaint is that it DOES NOT fit tall glasses like stated and shown in the images. We did need a smaller microwave to fit so it works perfectly for that, the other microwave options were mostly all too big at 16” high. We expected this to be the prefect microwave with the low profile height and the ability to still microwave traveling coffee mugs which we can not do, very disappointed.

Perfect for us. Our previous microwave occupied a lot of air space over our stove's cook top making large pots difficult to stir and creating a safety issue. Restructuring our cabinet seemed extreme but we certainly considered it. We gained almost seven inches of air space with the lower profile microwave. It looks nice, just installed today so no review on performance yet. Cosmetically, we are very happy!

I love the way this Whirlpool Low Profile Microwave looks, cooks, reheats & defrosts! It is the best microwave I ever used or had. I live in an old home with limited counterspace so really appreciate the space saver. My neighbor, a retired electrician, installed it for me in a short amount of time after he put in a designated outlet. It's perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this earlier this month, December, and I love it with two exceptions. The sound when your food is done is Very low even though I changed the setting to make it louder, however, It still isn’t loud. The next thing is the plastic thing with wheels underneath the turntable keeps moving out of place and makes the turntable crooked or not turn and that’s very aggravating.

this was perfect for above our gas stove. The old microwave was very large and not much room between the bottom of the microwave and top of stove. We can now see the oven buttons on the back of the stove and opened up the cooking space on the stove. Sticks out farther than most by a couple inches but still looks and works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this microwave to replace a large, clunky one. It is mounted under cabinet, above our stove. Soon after installing the microwave I discovered a design flaw. The microwave has a sharp metal piece on the lower corner inside the door. Unfortunately the corner is located at the same height of my face. I opened the microwave to take a peek in and when closing the door scraped my cheek with the corner. I received a fair sized cut from the door. Unfortunately I got a second cut from the door when I was placing something in the microwave and turned my head to respond to a question, once again catching the sharp piece on my face and getting another cut. The obvious is to keep my face away from the opened door. I'm trying to get in the habit of keeping my hand on the door with my thumb covering the metal piece. I hope this design flaw is corrected before the next model is manufactured. I also hope Whirlpool engineers can come up with a retro-fitted solution to this issue that I could put on my microwave.

Its great except air is escaping from the top of the unit, even though it is vented outside. Any ideas how to seal the unit so all air is forced up? This was installed by a contractor.

This Whirlpool microwave was reasonably priced, very sleek, very quiet and has great features, including an easy 30 second one touch button and touch open feature. The fan, vent and lights work very well and were very easy to install.

This microwave is sleek and a space saver in my newly remodeled kitchen. I am 5’3” and I do have trouble seeing inside of the microwave but I wouldn’t trade it for that reason. I bought a little fold up stool to use in case I needed it.

Even tried looking for the smaller cabinets for above my stove, but they longer make my style of cabinet. Thank you Whirlpool for making this size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family isn’t the tallest, so reaching over a stove to retrieve microwaved items were always a pain. A month ago, we looked into this slim profile to find that the door is about 4 inches further away from the wall than a standard microwave, which was a huge plus for us. One further benefit is the light under the microwave actually shines on the front of the stove! Additionally, we appreciate being able to have more clearance above the range for taller pots. There is no handle, so you must rely on power and technology to open the door. The tallest item we heat up is a syrup bottle, which requires we remove the lid, but such a little inconvenience when you look at all the convenient features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We finally got our microwave installed about a month ago and I love it! Previously I had a microwave on my counter. I always wanted one over the stove but the kitchen cabinets were too low. This microwave solved our problem! There’s plenty of space inside but it is not as tall. The controls are inside so it looks so nice. It has 3 fan settings and 2 led light settings, which I really like. All of the presettings that I’ve tried work perfectly. It also has such a pleasant tone when it has completed its task. Thank you whirlpool for being the smart one to make a microwave that is shorter and so intuitive.

This low profile microwave is amazing. Looks great too!

Installation was much easier than I expected. This microwave is really nice. Home Depot had one in their show area in a local store and seeing it in the store sold me on it almost immediately. The build quality seems really good, the door even feels nice and solid. The light that shines down on our stove top is super nice and provides much more light than our previous microwave. The fan with 4 speeds is amazing and exceeds my expectations. The only negative thing I've found so far is the door window is a bit hard to see though while cooking but I would rather have better protection from radiation than be able to see my food better so there's the trade off and I'm fine with that. Besides that this thing is sleek, simple and has an great build quality feel to it.

I love that it is low profile and has the fan. I have been looking for something like this for years. Although, I loose a little height, I can still get my mugs and 13x9 pans in it. Buttons are slightly confusing at first. The end sound doesn’t stop when you open the door. But, those are little thing. I like it a lot. It fits into my cabinetry perfectly.
