[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very high quality product and performs extremely well. When building a new home we knew a good quality hood was critical to achieving our vision. This hood looks incredible and performs magically. We can even blacken fish, brown foods, and sear steaks with no issue. I looked long and hard at all my appliances to find the best value and quality and I have no regrets with the Kitchenaid hood. We went black stainless which is beautiful and stays exceptionally clean.

Had this unit for approx. 4 years, minimal use (we don't cook very much) and motor went out. If you compare this unit to other similar units that is not name brand--Winflo--it's a fraction of the price. We paid more for this range hood because we thought we were paying for quality; unfortunately, that is not the case. The motor should not have already gone out after 4 years; we've had range hoods last entire decades. Warranty is only good for one year and the replacement part is $200+. Which costs more than an entirely brand new comparable off-brand range hood, not just the part. Attractive range hood--just not worth the price. Would not recommend or buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blower moves enough air. I went with 400 cfm for the price compared to the more expensive 600+cfm models. Just make sure it's vented outside rather than recirculation. Only complaint is the seal around the up pipe. Some air escapes up around the pipe causing some discoloration.

The vent duct isn’t tall enough. There aren’t any charcoal filters and air circulator isn’t included. Other than that it looks beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although it does have great features. It’s almost impossible to assemble. The vent that was given is very narrow which made it extremely hard to put any kind of pipe inside. It took forever to fit something in and it still doesn’t sit nicely. So whirlpool please next time if you’re not giving something conventional please include the pipe as well

The hood chimney is too long for the space and Whirlpool doesn't seem to have a short kit; nor are they compatible with what's on the market for short kits.I can't return the hood and I probably wont be able to use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to go along with a new whirlpool range and it’s absolutely beautiful and works just as good as it looks. The fan is very powerful on the high setting and does a great job ventilating the kitchen I would highly recommended it. Only thing I wish they had, and they may but I haven’t been able to find it, is an option to use halogen bulbs instead of LED bulbs in the hood. All my lighting is the Edison bulb style and then you have this bright crisp blue led on the range hood that doesn’t match the other lighting in the kitchen and I am not a huge fan of the really bright LED lighting I prefer the softer more yellow type lighting but we have gotten used to it and it’s a small gripe.
