Received the FM-85G about two weeks ago and it arrived sooner than promised. The unit was packaged very well and has excellent overall build quality. We plugged it in, set the temperature to 0 and it got to 0 degrees very quickly. We filled it up with some frozen food, installed a freezer thermometer with MAX/MIN and it has been holding temperature very well. Compressor/Fan is about as loud as our kitchen fridge/freezer. Overall we are very satisfied and would recommend to anyone looking for a small fridge/freezer that can be used portable. Thanks Whynter for an excellent product!

I did a lot of comparison to the ARB and the Engel fridges and went with the Whytner. This product was a little larger then I expected and doesn't really appear to be designed for the application I am using it for (in-car camping fridge). For twice the money I could have gotten a smaller ARB or an Engel but the price differences didn't justify the size difference. I have a comparable ARB and there is only about 2 1/2 inches difference in size. This thing takes up a lot of room in the back of my trail rig. All around a good value though. I have only had it a few weeks so it is difficult to evaluate much more on it.

Nice and spacious, considering its size. The Fast Freeze is really convenient. I've left ice cream in it over the weekend without significant battery draw. Granted, it's not 90 degrees out here now, but this thing is wonderful for my use, hauling small amounts of inventory and samples. Come back in a year and ask me. LIsted no instructions as a con, but how many do you need for a freezer? I guess an internal light would be nice, but now I'm whining.

Great 85 QT Freezer. Bought this one for my Motorhome. Fits perfect and very easy to install. Cools down very quick and even has an external temperature gauge. Shipping to a local Home Depot was also easy and quick.

Extremely quiet, and cooked in 20 mins from 77 degrees to zero degrees! Love this.

Worked great for 18 months then struggled to sustain 0 F. after 20 months freon was gone and unit will no longer work. contacted manufacture and was told Sorry, only 12 month warranty so it must be a leak in the walls of the freezer and they do not fix it. Manufacture offered me a 40% discount on purchase of new one but you can buy other company models for over 50% less than this manufacture. I would not recomend purchasing this item from this company.

I've had this for over 7 years and it's keeping barrel aged beers at 43F all that time, out in the garage, with never a problem. I have had the 65qt size as well for over 6 years.

Works as advertised. Battery consumption within specs if run on "power save" mode. Otherwise drains battery quickly.

I carry samples all over the State . The freezer works like a dream .

Got this ac/dc freezer for our yacht. Put it in the travel case. 1 year later I'm trying to save the lid as it is starting to rust. Now, i need a new lid as it has all rusted out on the outside corners and on the lid. Too Bad... Really like it but hate to replace something that is internally working great because the case can't stand up.

Impressed! I would give it 5 stars but we just started using it and still need to test out the 12vdc hookup (as an emergency backup). It is working great for storing meat we just butchered.

I'm a truck driver and I love being able to freeze stuff or use it as a refrigerator..

Twoo kudos for this purchase. First, it is everything I thought it would be. Second although the delivery was delayed initially by the fact I live in a travel park,Home Depot did an exemplary job in completing the delivery. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase through Home Depot.

This is a great piece of gear! Consistent temperature, spacious, and sleek, this will be invaluable as we travel.

No complaints so far, haven’t had a chance to take it on the road with me (I’m a truck driver) so not sure it will fit in a semi. But it does what I bought it for. I recommend it!

This is our second freezer, after mistakenly selling the first one after two years of use thinking we found a better option. We quickly purchased our current unit in 2014 and have used daily since. We travel full-time in our RV and this freezer has been to 48 states and 5 Canadian provinces. It is an excellent unit, and we highly recommend it to anyone.

Works well in car and at home

Works great in my motor home. Gives me double the freezer space. Now I can stock up on Nebraska beef.
