The anchor worked well. I just screwed it into the ground with a little body weight to encourage it to start. As it got more difficult, I grabbed an old broom handle to give the torque needed to get it flush to the ground.

I have not installed these anchors yet, but they seem solid and well-built. They will go in the ground when a hurricane is on its way, and I feel confident they will do the job that I bought them for. I deducted one star because the anchor is a bent disk, not a true helix.

Was easy to install, looks like they are well built. If using In rocky soil they might be more difficult to install.

Unless you're working in soft ground it will not turn.

Failed to screw into ground properly. Spiral blades were welded onto shaft in an inconsistent manner.

I bought 52 of these after extensive price and quality research. The price with free shipping was outstanding and easily bested Tractor Supply by $6 each for the same 4x40 earth anchor. I used these to support 24 rows of grapes, anchored in thick Missouri clay material. I used a 24" piece of steel rebar to manually twist these into the ground and leave 12" exposed for steel cable anchoring to the end posts. Great product, great value, and did the job.

These are not made with helical flighting. They are round plates that are cut, bent and welded to the rod. There is no consistency and they don't look like they will screw into the ground very easily.

I only needed one of these for my project, a shore anchor point for our dock. Item woeked great for my application. Easilly turned into the ground using a 2' metal bar.

Worked great, much easier getting in the ground that I would have thought.

'Hook' is not welded shut, so could pull out straight if strained

Used the anchor to pull a leaning privacy fence. It did the job.

The augers are good for the price. The only improvements to make are welding the auger on both sides of the blade & maybe welding the eyelet shut. Either way, I expect these to serve their purpose for their useful life without issue.

Spent 2-3 hours trying to drive it into the ground (expansive soil) and was only able to get 8-10 inches deep out of the 40”. No kidding. This product didn’t meet my expectations. Either vendor has to provide a tool to help drive this, or add sharper and better helix design to allow for ease of penetration into the soil. Very difficult to work with, so had to return them. I don’t recommend it, at least for expansive soil.
