Does not work in strong sunlight. I have to wait until after the sun goes down to use it

no signal when using it on the fence; it does light up when testing at the charger however. I know the fence is working cause i"ve seen the cattle react when they have touched the wire!

This worked one time. Waste of money, as I’m finding most Zareba products are.

It works as it should though hard to see except in dim light but they may all be that way.

At first i didn’t think this thing worked at all. I did another test at dusk and i could just barely see the 2500 volt indicator light up. There was no way it’s visible during normal daylight. I returned it and Home Depot has given me store credit on a card that i also have to show my ID with.

Impossible to see the indicator lights in the sun, otherwise the product works fine.

It is cheap and working. The only thing is that the lights are too dim to see in sunlight.

Bought it for my dad. Works great, great price. Keeps wild hogs out yard.

The high voltage tester is very self intuitive and easy to use. It has several lights that indicate how high the voltage is being measured. There is very little circuitry to go wrong and a simple easy design to use and store. For years I've wondered how high the voltage was in my lines. Now I know. I wish this had been available years ago. Get one, you'll like it too!

I use this to test my electric enclosures when camping in bear country. They are slightly hard to see in full sunlight but I simply shield it from the sun and can easily see voltage output. It is very lightweight, affordable and does the job. I'd recommend this to anyone and will buy again when needed.

The unit is inexpensive, which is an advantage and the one I purchased worked fine after the sun went down during dusk. During the light of day, even in the shade the "glowing" lights were too faint to tell if they were on or off leaving one to think that no electric power was present which lead to my partner receiving a shock. I would guess that the faintness of the lights in daylight was the cause of the previous reviewer's experience.

The item I was looking for according to the Home Depot site was in stock, but it wasn't so I ended up settling for this tester. The online reviews weren't good but I was in a crunch so I tried it. Wish I hadn't. I might have ended up replacing a fence charger that may have been good. This has been returned, just hoping I get my money back. Very simply, it didn't work at all, end of story. As the title says, a waste of time, effort and money. It gets one star (really), I can't give it what it really deserves a BIG FAT ZERO.
