Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to commonly asked questions

How much does it cost to install a door?
Prices vary depending on the door and hardware you choose as well as the geographical area where the interior or exterior installation will take place.
How do I know if I need my door replaced?
An entry door or patio door will have a certain amount of wear and tear due to the weather and everyday use, but you’ll want to watch for cracked paint and evidence of mold or mildew. These are signs your door needs to be replaced. A door that is older than 20 years is likely due for an upgrade. If your door tends to be drafty when colder weather hits, it could be time for a better-insulated door. You also can expect to see signs of normal wear and tear on interior doors. It’s time for a new door if you notice any structural damage, such as trouble opening and closing the door, or if the door is coming off the hinges and can’t be fixed. A new door can have a big impact on your home’s style, whether you want to upgrade just one door or multiple doors throughout your home. We offer beautiful decorative iron doors, wood doors, security doors and more. No matter your needs or style preference, we have the perfect door for you and your home.
How do I measure a door that needs to be replaced?
Door measurements need to be very precise to get the right fit, so professional measurement is recommended for this project. Our team of professional door installers can handle this for you. We start by measuring the width and height of your door, rounded up to the nearest whole inch, to find out what size replacement door you need.
How long does it take to install a door?
The length of a door installation project varies, but typically our professional installers can complete the work within a day. If you’re having multiple doors replaced, the installation process could take longer.
Do you dispose of old doors?
Yes. We can take care of removing your old door and hauling it away, often at no extra charge. Our team also will clean up any work debris so you aren’t left with a mess after installation.
Are your entry doors insulated?
We offer door insulation during the time of service for an additional cost. Having a door that is properly insulated can help you conserve energy and save on energy costs over time.

We are extremely pleased with the exterior door installation provided. The store employee was very knowledgeable and helpful. The installer was polite and very professional. The cost was reasonable.

The subcontract that installed the door was awesome. Home Depot was awful. I needed to order a customer size patio door and was told that it would take ~3 weeks. -I called after 4 weeks, to be told that there wasn't an ETA on the door. -I called after about 6 weeks, and told that there wasn't an ETA on the door. -I called after about 2 months, and was told that the door had been delivered to the store about a month before (on time) but that nobody reached out to me because it didn't have a screen (this is a door that doesn't come without a screen, it's not an option.) But the screen hadn't even been ordered. Someone had flagged it as a problem, stuck it in the back of the store, and forgotten about it. I got pretty frustrated, was told be the store employee that people who were nice got better service and I already had notes in my file about being rude. But the reality is that being nice wasn't getting us anywhere, and my patience was spread incredibly thin at this point. -After that, I got a call that the door was going to be delivered to my house, but an install hadn't been scheduled. I called back to cancel the delivery as I wasn't confident that an install would ever be scheduled if the door was in my house. I was told that the delivery was cancel, but a moving truck showed up with the door anyway... -IT WASN'T EVEN THE RIGHT DOOR! It opens the opposite direction from what we wanted. It's not a huge deal, and we're so frustrated with this process that we decided to just go for it. -The install was finally booked. The sub contractor showed up, found that all the stuff he needed wasn't there (brick-molding was missing) and had to go to Home Depot to get it. Home Depot had told him everything had been delivered to my house, which wasn't accurate. -Install went great. -Still have no idea where the screen is.

Closet doors, whether accordion, bi-fold or traditional slab doors with panels, are important for concealing storage and clutter, while mirror doors add additional functionality to your closet space. Swinging French doors are an elegant addition to any room in the house. Barn doors and other doors with sliding tracks can make a space feel more rustic and help section off hallways or large rooms. Our contractors can replace or install all of these types of interior doors.

Entry Door Replacement

One of the biggest contributors to curb appeal is the front door. A new entry door is a great final touch that helps guests feel welcome and can boost energy efficiency, but replacing your front door isn't always an easy project. If you don't install the new entry door correctly, you could actually hurt your home’s curb appeal and lose energy cost savings if the door isn't properly aligned and sealed.

Already have a new entry door? Maybe it’s time to replace one of your home's other exterior doors. Patio doors can be a statement piece that leads to your outdoor retreat. Screen doors bring fresh air in while keeping pests out. Durable storm doors are specifically designed for severe weather and help protect your home's entry points from the elements. Once you decide on the color and style, our licensed and insured contractors will professionally install whichever door you choose.
