First, it took four visits into the store to place our special order for over $6,700 in building materials. A lot of issues with placing the order from Home Depot Pro staff not knowing how to enter an order into the computer, knowledgeable staff to “busy” to enter the order, and no information available about specific products and the Pro Desk not calling the vendor to verify product information. Seeing we had this many roadblocks we should have gone elsewhere, but we literally had hours tied up with Home Depot already. Starting over seemed like a giant step back! Next, we discovered most special orders are actually shipped to the store then Home Depot outsources deliveries with a third party. Home Depot never put our address into their computer system so the delivery didn’t happen on the day Home Depot said it would. Next delivery attempt Home Depot only gave the driver one of the three phone numbers we gave Home Depot. Therefore on the day of the second delivery attempt the driver called a cell number instead of the landline number we gave Home Depot and seeing no one answered their call they assumed no one was home and they took everything back to the store. As we told Home Depot cell phones don’t work where we live so we left multiple numbers! So again, no delivery although workers were on site waiting for materials to start work. Instead the materials were taken back to the store and unloaded. The order was then picked up by our contractor to begin working ASAP since a crew was on site ready to work. All items were shrink wrapped on pallets so you could not see what was there. Once at the site a quick inventory revealed items we’re missing from the order. Home Depot responded that they could reorder the missing items, but it would take weeks for them to arrive since they are special order items. Seriously? We already waited over four weeks to receive the order. Please also note the posted sign behind the Pro Desk states the desk is open from 6 am - 5 pm. It’s not, the Pro Desk staff leave at 3 pm. This morning around 8 am when we went to the store six large flat carts were parked all in front of the Pro Desk. We could only assume the Pro Desk staff didn’t want anyone to actually approach the desk for assistance. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and do not use the Pro Desk on Main Street in Spartanburg, SC!! Work smarter not harder!

This is THE home improvement store. I fondly refer to it as the "orange vests". Great customer service.

Purchased some outdoor carpet today at the Eastside of Spartanburg location. Had the most pleasant and friendly experience I’ve had in quite some time at ANY retail store. Brionna in the flooring department was beyond friendly and professional! I will never shop brand X ever again! Home Depot has earned all of my future business!

Clean, not as busy as some locations which make for a nicer shopping experience for me
