Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on storage containers?

Home Depot Garage Storage Savings are here, so start shopping now. From garage bundles to garage shelving, we've got bargains on everything you need for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales online or in-store from 6/22/26–8/18/26, and make this the summer you clean out the shed, basement, and garage.

What school supplies does The Home Depot have?

When you've gotten your classroom decorations at the educator store and just need the basics, come see us. From maintenance like disinfecting wipes and office supplies to the fun stuff for art projects, we've got it. Writing utensils and Command hooks? Check. Glue guns and hot glue sticks to match? We have those, too. Find storage containers, cleaning products, and more tissues and paper towels than you could possibly need — because you'll end up using them all. We love educators, so stop by to fill in the classroom supply gaps.

How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?

Be confident your home is ready for summertime temperatures by replacing faulty components of your home and hardscaping. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you might be dealing with damage. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On your house's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage that may let water in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

Do you carry small moving boxes?

Make moving or storage easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.

Why should I get a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

Why should I get a doorbell camera?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

What's the project for the free Kids Workshop?

Head to our Kids Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on 8/1/2026. Sign up for free to build a pint-sized rocket game. We provide the materials and you provide the creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this fun craft while supplies last. The best part is imagining your rocket blasting off into space, so join your new friends to launch a fleet of rocketships!

Help needed to repair a section of 3/4 inch irrigation pipe.
I went to Home Depot to pick up parts to repair a hole in an irrigation pipe. I had no idea how to fit the new piece into the 5 inch gap I cut out. My repair went wonderfully because Brian showed me how to repair it using one sleeve and introduced me to another part that allowed me to screw in the gap. Photo: crack

      insect infested plants
The last several plants that I've purchased from Home Depot have had ants, aphids, and other damaging insects in them. Bringing them home to my garden risks the huge amount of money that I have already invested in my garden. guaranteeing the new plant is not enough

          Great customer service
Greeted and thanked. Robert in plumbing immediately greeted me and asked questions to navigate what I needed. I was so impressed at his multi tasking skills with other customers and calls for help. He truly seemed to make everyone feel like they were important, stopped along the way while helping me to get and touch back with other customers. Great Easter apron. Thanks Robert! Both self checkout guys helpful and on top of it and very happy! Great experience, thanks. Robert and the store!

            Wonderful Employee
I came to Home Depot with my 2 small children. It was a gamble because it was their nap time but I really needed to get some things. Russ had greeted us shortly after entering the store and saw I had my hands and cart full with the 2 kids, 6 bags of water softener salt, amongst other things. He asked if I was getting any more things and if he could help me. I told him I wanted to go to gardening to get soil and plants and said I would have to buy this cart first then load it in the car and come back. Instead he grabbed another cart and came with me. He helped me get all the manure, soil, mulch, seeds etc. and there was ALOT! My kids were starting to lose it and he helped with them. I bought them lollipops at checkout and just after I paid my 2 year old dropped hers and stayed crying. At that point I wanted to just load my stuff and go. Russ helped me load all the heavy bags into my car and even went out of his way and bought my daughter a lollipop. He helped entertain them every time he helped me load a bag into my car. Russ was a 10/10 amazing human being, who saw a mom with her hands very full and did everything he could to help me. What should have been a disaster of a trip turned out to be one I will remember forever thanks to his kindness. Thank you Russ!

Good location, has almost everything the larger stores have, but easier to find
Good plant department - every Home Depot is a little different, the Warner-Tempe HD has a good selection of landscaping plants, all the pool stuff you would need, lighting and plumbing to fix every landscape and irrigation problem, and plenty of diversity in parts.

                  Paint
Know your paints and what to ask for and what to use, because they are not knowledgeable of paints in the paint department.
