What home repairs should I make before spring storms hit?
Be confident your home is ready for springtime temperature changes by repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. On the outside of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that could let water come in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If moisture gets in the cracks, you might be dealing with damage.
Do you offer moving boxes?
Make your move easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or tornados, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
What's the project at the Home Depot Kids Workshop this month?
Head to the Kids Workshop from 9–noon on June 6th. Sign up for free to build a tiny soccer game. We provide the materials and you bring the creativity. Team up with your kids to make this fun craft while supplies last. Remember to leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
