Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on storage bins and shelves?

Home Depot Garage Storage Savings are here, so start shopping now. From garage storage bundles to workbenches, we've got deals on everything you want for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales from June 22nd through August 18th, and make this the summer you finally organize the garage and basement.

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Be confident your home is set for summertime temperatures by repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water gets in the cracks, you might be dealing with mold. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your house, inspect metal roofs or roof shingles for damage or rust that can let water leak in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Make your move easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When searching for generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

What benefits do doorbell cameras have?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's the project at the August Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Head to our Kids Workshop to encourage future builders and craftspeople! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this rocket game. Constructing a wooden spaceship toy is a great way to hone creativity, fine motor skills, and listening abilities. This fun kids' project is happening on 8/1/2026, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last.
