Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a patio furniture sale for Memorial Day?

Get ready to save money when you shop The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale. We've got the major purchases you want to save on: grills, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture, appliances, and more. Some categories have select items up to 40%, while others offer up to 20% off. It's easy to shop for bargains from May 14th through 27th in person at your local store or with our mobile app.

How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temperatures?

Make certain your home is equipped for wild temperature swings by replacing or repairing faulty components of your home. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If moisture gets inside the crevices, you could be looking at trouble. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that may let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

Do you carry moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through an adjacent window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's this month's project for the free Kids Workshop?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on 6/6/2026. Sign up for free to build a tiny soccer game. You provide the creativity and we provide the materials. Team up with your kids to make this quick craft while supplies last. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
