Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

When does The Home Depot Labor Day Sale begin at the Alpena store?

Visit our store between August 27th and September 9th for our Labor Day Deals. Prepare for cooler temps with Labor Day savings on appliances starting at $399 — with free delivery on appliance purchases of $998 or more. We've got deals on ladders, outdoor lighting, and other DIY must-haves. Remember to check out the savings on furniture and all things bath, too. We have what you need to rejuvenate your home before the holidays start in earnest. Wrap up your summer projects and move on to autumn with these Labor Day bargains.

Is Express Delivery available at my store?

Express Delivery is a same-day service that delivers job site supplies and products directly from your store to your front door. Place your order by 4 p.m. local time to ensure delivery. Eligibility depends on driver availability, item size, and local stock. Set your local store in The Home Depot app or online to check availability. Qualifying items will show an Express Delivery tag both in your shopping cart and at checkout (excludes custom mixed paint, aerosols, and bulk orders). Express Delivery orders may be subject to additional delivery charges.

Does The Home Depot have back-to-school supplies for classrooms?

When you've gotten your classroom decor at the teacher store and just need the basics, come see us. From maintenance like disinfecting wipes and office supplies to the fun stuff for art projects, we've got it. Command hooks and writing utensils? Check. Glue guns and hot glue sticks to match? We have those, too. Find cleaning supplies, storage containers to keep it all organized, and more tissues and paper towels than you could possibly need — because you'll end up using them all. We support our teachers, so drop in to fill in the classroom supply gaps.

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Be certain your home is set for summer temperatures by replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be in for a headache. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On your home's exterior, examine metal roofing or roof shingles for rust or damage that might let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to keep rain overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

Do you have moving boxes?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you carry wireless or wired doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.

Which project will be featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Stop by for the Kids Workshop on September 5, 2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a school bus organizer! Your little builder can put together their very own organizer for markers and colored pencils.
