Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What's part of the Garage Storage Sale?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so it's time to get shopping. From garage shelving to tool chests, we've got deals on everything you need for a clean and neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales online or in-store from June 22–August 18, and make this the year you clean out the shed, basement, and garage.

What do I need for my dorm?

We have all your college dorm essentials. Get moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.

How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?

Be confident your home is set for summer temps by repairing faulty components of your home and hardscaping. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you could be looking at trouble. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for damage that can let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

Do you carry wardrobe moving boxes?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.

Do I need a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or hurricanes, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's the project at The Home Depot Kids Workshop in August 2026?

Head to our Kids Workshop to encourage future builders and craftspeople! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this rocket game. Constructing a small wooden spaceship is a great way to exercise fine motor skills, creativity, and listening abilities. This cute kids' project is happening on 8/1/2026, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last.
