What should I bring when moving into my college dorm?
We have all your dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Make your room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Bring a tub of spackling to fill nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Extension cords and power strips let you place table lamps, mini fridges, and countertop microwaves where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your Willmar Home Depot.
What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?
Make certain your home is ready for summertime temperatures by replacing or repairing faulty components of your home. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you might be looking at trouble. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roofing for damage that may let water come in. Keep gutters functional and clear to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
What varieties of moving boxes do you offer?
Make moving or storage easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Restore power in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
What benefits do doorbell cameras have?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
When is the next free Kids Workshop?
Head to the Kids Workshop on August 1, 2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a wooden rocket game! Your little builder can put together their very own rocket game craft — like the real thing but kid-sized. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to play with others!
