What college dorm essentials should I get?
Come see us for your college dorm essentials. Use moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with helpful products from your local Home Depot.
What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?
Make certain your home is ready for summer temps by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you could be in for a headache. On the exterior of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that might let water in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.
Do you have specialty moving boxes?
Make your move easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
