How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temps?
Be certain your home is set for springtime weather changes by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If moisture gets in the cracks, you might be dealing with mold. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On your home's exterior, examine metal roofing or shingles for damage that can let water come in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
What types of moving boxes do you have?
Make storage or moving easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Do you carry wireless or wired doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
When is the next free Kids Workshop?
Drop by our Kids Workshop on June 6th, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a goalie game! Your little builder can put together their very own soccer craft — like the tabletop version but kid-sized. Remember to leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
