What do I need for my dorm?
We've got your college dorm essentials. Get storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning wipes and other cleaning products. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.
How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?
Make certain your home is set for summertime temps by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your home. On the exterior of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofing for damage that may let water come in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If water gets inside the crevices, you might be in for a headache.
What varieties of moving boxes do you offer?
Make storage or moving easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Do I need a generator?
Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.
Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.
What's the project at The Home Depot Kids Workshop this month?
Head to our Kids Workshop from 9–noon on 8/1/26. Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this cool pint-sized rocket game. Building this wooden spaceship toy is a great way to sharpen fine motor skills, creativity, and listening abilities. Team up with your kids to make this fun craft while supplies last. Remember to leave some time to play with others!
