Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on garage storage?

Home Depot Garage Storage Savings are here, so it's time to get shopping. From tool chests to garage shelving, we've got bargains on everything you need for a clean and neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales in-store or online from 6/22–8/18, and make this the year you organize the garage and basement.

What do I need for my teen's college dorm?

Come see us for your college dorm essentials. Utilize our moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes to sanitize the space. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Extension cords and power strips let you place floor lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack or underbed storage yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your West Bend Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Be confident your home is set for relentless summer weather by replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. On the outside of your house, examine shingles or metal roofing for damage that may let water in. Keep gutters functional and clear to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you might be in for a headache.

What kinds of moving boxes do you carry?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Do I need a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

What's the project at the August Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Head to the Kids Workshop on 8/1/26, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a wooden rocket game! Your little builder can assemble their very own rocket game craft — like the real thing but kid-sized. Don't forget to leave some time to watch your rocket climb the ladder into orbit!

        Manager saves the day!
Due to a misunderstanding, we received the wrong items. Phoned the store, spoke with manager, Chris Sims, and he took it upon himself to personally return the items, reorder the correct ones & make sure everything was straightened out on our account. Thank you, Chris!

          Amazing Employees!
I would like to give a huge shoutout to two employees in particular: Mikey in Paint and Justeen in Flooring. They both went above and beyond to make my shopping experience exceptional. Not only did they make me feel welcome, but they also made my kids feel comfortable and included. They patiently answered all of my questions and addressed every concern I had throughout the process. Purchasing paint and carpet for an entire new home can be overwhelming, but their knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitudes made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you, Mikey and Justeen, for providing outstanding customer service and for helping make such an important project a positive experience. Employees like you truly make a difference!

Be Watchful On Delivery of Items
Home Depot outsourced and hired a delivery service to deliver the 3 refrigerators ordered. Upon delivery, each refrigerator was damaged by metal and metal hand trucks used to move refrigerators about the building. Also, banged into the doors on the way in, dropped a refrigerator door while changing its door swing damaging the floors. Upon unloading the refrigerators out of boxes on the asphalt/cement, they were pushed around where the plastic footings get scraped down to have sharp edges, then pushed along our floors and made scrape marks throughout the delivery areas. Home Depot may want to reevaluate how their items get delivered. All 3 refrigerators are damaged, the floors are damaged and the future purchases may be damaged. Work ethic is diminishing in America. The level of care needs to increase.

                  Poor service
Home Depot use to be my go to store, not anymore, service has gone down hill, always a ton of employees around but they are mostly clueless when it comes to service. My last experience at Home Depot West Bend involves a return, the product I purchased was not what I expected, the staff made me feel uncomfortable for returning. Never have I had this problem in the past.

                    My refrigerator buying experience
My wife and I decided to be pro-active about replacing our refrigerator. I had looked at a particular model on a previous visit and took the information home with me so I could show my wife. We both stopped in and the same store employee that helped me with my questions the first visit (Harv Karnitz) was there this time to help my wife and I. The purchase went smoothly and we were set up for delivery in in just a few days. I thanked Harv for helping me on both visits. He said that I was welcome and this was how he treated all customers. That was refreshing to hear.
