Where can I buy back-to-school supplies for my dorm?

We have all your dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Bring spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with helpful products from your local Home Depot.

How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?

Be certain your home is equipped for summer temps by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. If water gets in the crevices, you could be in for a headache. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On the outside of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that might let water come in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

Do you have specialty moving boxes?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Enjoy power in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

What benefits do doorbell cameras have?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

Selling half full propane tanks for the full price
I returned my empty propane tank the other day as I always keep two at home, one for use and one is back up. I removed the blue seal from my back up one and I have a gauge that I’ve always used to see how low I’m running when I installed it the full tank that I removed the blue seal from came up as only half full. I then remove the seal from the one that I just purchased earlier that day and again this new one is also only half full is Home Depot selling us half full propane tanks for the price of a full tank if so, I want half of my money back on my two tanks.

                Good employee / Bad employee
I went to the self check out to pay for the items I am purchasing. Immediately in front of me there was a store employee. He appeared to be there to assist, guide and direct customers to which ever kiosk is available. I asked this store employee does anyone of these kiosk take both cash and card, he said yes and directed me to the kiosk. Now I have my daughter's with me and I all like to teach them about life and experiences they will soon encounter as they get older. One daughter is 9 and the other is 6. So I decided to let the 6 years checkout the first item using the debt card. Everything went well as she learnt the card must be placed a certain way. And she learned that in this case the contractors garbage bags were to big to be placed in a bag so we selected 0 bags and got a receipt. As soon as the receipt came out another employee approached my 6 year old and myself and asked what about this which is the second item I wanted to pay for with cash. And let my 9 year check out. We'll let my tell you I felt really furious because this employee treated my 6 year old and myself like we were stealing something in front of the other customers. I tried to maintain my composure but I was really upset. It was at this point I turned to this second employee feeling really furious and explained the entire process all over again. Personally I feel that second employee should not have approached me until I had picked up both items without paying for one of them. Then that employee could have stopped me at the door and requested to see the receipts for both items. The only lesson my daughter's got out of this trip to Home Depot is because of the color of their skin people will automatically assume and treat you like your stealing. Now my question to you Home Depot.... Do you feel your employee was right?

                  Good. Friendly and convenient location.
The last time I was there, I was upset and wasn’t going to shop there again and complained that the sales tax was wrong and was over charged a few cents. The correct NYC tax is 8.875%. I was pleased this time that they had finally corrected the sales tax. Thank you.

Very bad treatment by an employee
I was at East Elmhurst NY Home Depot on Tuesday, July 8th at around 11:00 am. I was treated very bad for no reason so we ended up customer service together keep arguing. His name is Chris, 25~30 years old Asian guy. I recommend all customers to stay away from him in case of being at East Elmhurst NY Home Depot.
