Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Make certain your home is ready for summertime temps by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. If moisture gets in the crevices, you might be in for a headache. On the outside of your house, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that could let water in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

Do you carry large moving boxes?

Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.

Why should I get a generator?

Enjoy power in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

What's the project at the October Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Head to our Kids Workshop to encourage future builders! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this witch candy box. Constructing a brightly colored container is a great way to hone creativity, fine motor skills, and listening abilities. This cute kids' project is happening on October 3rd, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
