Employees were very friendly and helpful

No marks on floor for social distancing! Associates arguing in front of customers! Stock was all X-mas, not a good store to shop during these times.

Good product and a great staff

The store was clean and friendly employees.

The store is very close to my house, I always find what I need and get in and out quickly. The paint and kitchen department employees are always very nice and willing to help me with all my DIY projects.

Shopped the garden center. I appreciated that the garden center had a "support center" for tall flowers and plants that are leaning, but the selection was too scarce. They had a very nice selection of indoor plants. Lots of soil options was a plus

The store was somewhat clean.

This store needs to get its act together with the covid response. Many of the employees were wearing their masks below their nose or as a 'chin guard'. I saw five employees today alone like that and it's been the same the last four times I've been there this first week of August. One employee in particular ALWAYS has her mask down under her nose. And if an employee cannot understand how breathing goes, I'm not going to trust them to know much of anything else. I went to complain at Customer Service and two of those employees had their mask down and they were waiting on a customer who had no mask at all. C'mon, Home Depot. Get serious. I don't feel safe there and will only be going back as a last resort.

Great staff

Staff was great but the other customers that were in there are ridiculously rude. Those type of ppl shouldn't be allowed in the store. Management protect/defend your lively staff!!!

Mary's customer service in appliance department was great.

Today’s trip to Home Depot was an awesome one. We needed assistance with my home plumbing project and Jay was very helpful, he went out of his way to help us in making sure I had all the correct connections and adapter that We needed. We are very pleased he was so patient with us ! Thank you Jay we appreciated your work !

Sometimes they have what you need. Appliance dept. is severely impacted by Covid. You might want to check other vendors.

Sales associates had no idea of THD's delivery and installation policies, despite us discussing the situation for our washer install for over an HOUR. Day of delivery, we got a call saying they wouldn't do a stacked install, despite us being extremely clear. We ended up buying from ABT who actually knew what they were doing. I'd recommend them any day over THD.

Very bad experience with the cashier, she made me wait 20 minutes until she checked me out because I wanted to talk with a manager.No manager around ,I had to leave because I was waiting for 30 minutes and nobody came to talk to me. This store never has what you need and the employees are nasty from the manager to the cashier. Also I want to mention that this location is always dirty and broken drywall and broken concrete bags in the concrete aisle and the drywall aisle.

I needed a nut for my umbrella base pole but I couldn't find the size I needed. Al from department 25 went above and beyond helping me. He found the nut I needed but it wouldn't go on because the threads were bad. He said he would try to re-thread it so it would work but he couldn't. He took the old screw out and put a new screw in with a nut. It looks and works like brand new now. He gave me exceptional customer service! It was unexpected but greatly appreciated! THANK YOU AL!

Great staff. The one employee I asked for help went above and beyond. Not every retailer is this helpful.

We placed an order for pickup 2 days ago and expected that it would take some time to be ready given the current state of things. Once we were notified that the order was ready, we went to the store to pick up our order, waiting patiently in the line and on the phone to speak with an associate to request our order to be brought out. All normal and expected, when our order was brought out, we explained to the associate that the order was incorrect and there were items that were not correct. The female associate snapped that we would would have to go find what we wanted because she didn't know how long it would take to find whatever we wanted. No attempt to apologize for the wrong items or inconvenience, we placed the order days ago and patiently waited until this interaction with her. My husband then had to go searching for the items himself which defeats the purpose of ordering online. If an associate has no idea where an item is in the store they work for, the management should be concerned that this is someone who is the face of the company in the eyes of the customer. I think I'll spend the extra money next time and go to another home improvement store.

To Whom it may concern, May 17 Chicago IL, During the Covid-19 Pandemic. IL is the third highest state in reported cases in the US and Cook county is number two in the highest reported county in the country with reported Covid-19 cases. After the State Law mandated starting May 1st per executive order by Governor Pritzker that stores not allow patrons in the store without wearing a mask and to regulate the number of people entering the store. When I entered the Home Depot located at 2555 N Normandy Ave. Chicago IL 60707 I didn’t see anyone at the front door greeting customers as I have in other HomeDepot stores in the area during this Covid-19 Pandemic regulating the amount of people and that everyone was wearing a mask entering the store. During my shopping experience I found everything I was looking for and the store seemed clean and orderly but there were several patrons walking around the store without masks on and one employee without a mask. As I was leaving the store at the registers I noticed three people in separate lines without masked. There was a security gourd leaning against the hotdog stand watching people leave I asked hime about the mask policy in the store which he just stared at me and did not respond. I asked the check out clerk for the store manager and Gary I believe respond and I voiced my concerns and his response was “If you don’t feel comfortable in the store you can leave”. After getting that response I purchased my items and as I was leaving the store I finally received a response from the security gourd he started laughing at me. I really hope that as much as HomeDepot advertises about keeping the stores safe and clean during this Pandemic for there staff and customers is just not a typical publicity stunt to make people think you actually care. Yours truly a customer for over twenty years.

This store was very clean! And the workers were very friendly. Only one recommendation to this store. Instead of having the customers file in a line at the cash registers. Have barriers and have customers file in a line. Have a worker lead at tell them to what line to go to when the a cash register is ready......that way people will be further away from other customers and won't be too close to the employees aswell.

POORLY STOCKED MERCHANDISE, MUCH WITHOUT TAGS AND UPC'S, WASTE OF TIME ATTEMPTING TO CHECKOUT WITH ITEMS THE CONFUSED STAFF CANNOT IDENTIFY. AVOID THIS STORE LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Aleksander is one of the best employees I search out to help me with my appliance purchase needs. He always takes the time with me and makes sure I get the best and appropriate promotions that are granted to me.

the young lady Rosa helped me with my shopping needs and was very well spoken and very nice and went above and beyond to make sure my shopping was an A+ experience. when you ask if you nailed it....she absolutely nailed it....great service.

I am a former Firefighter and can’t understand why the store management allows Contractors to park in the marked Fire Lane in front of the store. I have never once parked in that area I respect the purpose of the Lane and the Law. I know a concern is getting contractors in and out but take into consideration if this area should be needed by The Chicago Fire Department.

I felt welcomed and was acknowledged the whole time in the store. I didn't have to look for assistance, it looked for me. I will make this my go to store for products.

The store was very clean. Material was available and easy to find. The staff was extremely helpful while providing excellent customer service. I really enjoyed this visit!
