Came in and bought a deep freezer. The one on the sales floor was the only one available and we got a discount for some dents that were visible. Took it home and fully out of the box only to find its way more damaged than I thought. Didn’t not have time to return

This store really needs to hire staff there is no one helping customers on the sales floor and huddles of employees at self checkout. I didn’t purchase what I went in for because I couldn’t get the help to get the items down from a higher shelf. The staff I saw made me feel like I was bothering them to get any help. With the amount of people looking for jobs they should consider hiring people who care and not just a body. Not to mention security that actually walks around the store so many empty containers on the floor makes me wonder how much loss they have in this location

Don't shop at HD in Hamden, CT. After many years of negative experiences, I've concluded that they are way more trouble than they are worth.

The folks at this store who work in customer service are dramatically unhelpful and all seem to hate their jobs. Lazy and rude, every time. I don’t know why I ever go to this location.

Always an experience shopping here. Store is laid out nicely full stock on merchandise. The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant. There could be more staff available on the floor to assist consumers. There are times you have to walk around to seek help or page someone from the department your shopping from but overall my favorite store favorite location!

This Home Depot never followed up on setting the appointment of Heating or A/C Tune-up Special during 8/22-9/22/24. I called again after waiting and finally had them scheduling me for the tune-up. It was set up for today October 25th, 2024; No one showed up nor called. Very disappointed with them.

Not helpful at all… one person in the paint department which is ALWAYS a busy department. While the associate was “watching “the paint can shake, she kept her head down and didn’t look up to see if there was someone needing assistance….I had to wait for the paint to stop mixing, then wait for her to put a sample on the can, close the can, talk some more with the person buying the paint and only THEN, when she turned around and proceeded to walk out of the mixing area, did she address me…That was a total of 12 minutes… never again….

Home depot installed two different color capers in my home and refused to replace the carpet

I had an urgent need to purchase a fridge for a tenant after 8pm on a weekday night. Minka was super helpful and the fridge was on sale — very competitive pricing. I’m very happy with experience!

This store returned a damaged and not operational window unit to floor to be purchased again be careful to inspect the packaging to insure it wasn’t previously opened

The next time I have to return an item, I'll drive to Newington. Hamden is the worse.

Some cashier have very very bad attitude and the bottom line is If you don't like customer service then you shouldn't work in customer service especially if the customer just ask a question and they catch a whole nasty attitude

I’ve often gone to Home Depot. I was usually impressed by the degree of friendliness and willingness to help. On my last trip this had decreased. There also were less employees than usual. I missed the friendly helpful attitude and I think this should be increased. I think that and more employees will fill up the store more than anything.

Manager don’t help at all (David) there’s a Mexican on electrical that is very rude and will tell you we don’t sell that here even tho they do.. very very rude nasty…

Hamden store is minutes away from home. Garden shop always have everything I need.
