I bought the wrong size shelving units and realized they would not fit in the SUV. We were able to return that set and go right to the same aisle and buy a more appropriate size.

Home Depot has the worst customer service.. I tried to return a defective item with the receipt and packaging and they said because it's not in their system anymore they can't refund or replace the item even though they have similar items. They looked up the. Price which was half of what I paid and that is all they would refund even with the receipt. I will never buy anything over thirty dollars from Home Depot again. They make up the rules as they go instead of having any concrete policy.

Lady could not have been more helpful

Their online app said they had an item in stock, when I get there, I was told it’s not in stock. “It doesn’t have a home.” I literally drove out there just for that item because my local store did not have the item in stock. I drove 20 miles only to find out that their stock count is not correct. The stock count wasn’t one or two item, The apps showed seven in stock. Home Depot, your employees aren’t very helpful either, they were trying to arguing With me on the count that shows in stock versus availability,

I was looking for help in plumbing area and I couldn’t find anyone. I started walking through isle to see if I can find someone but the people I did find said they didn’t work in that area and they would call some to help me. There was two employees just talking to each other and when I asked for help they looked like I was disturbing them. One said they would call some over and I was told to go wait in the isle. I waited for 30 min but no one came. I ended up getting help from an actual plumber who was just picking up parts he needed he needed. He joked that employees always avoid the plumbing isle because someone always needs help.

At reasonable prices!

I recently bought a bag of soil that had a list price of $9.97 but on my receipt I was charged $11.97. The cashier said that they could not do anything, that I should go to customer service and tell them. Who wants to go through all that work for $2.00. So, check before you pay.

JANET IS ALWAYS SO NICE

I didn’t even expect to find an umbrella for my patio the last day of June! But we found one and it was gonna be a pain to obtain, strapped down to a rack at the highest point of the store. I was gonna go home empty handed but david and jose were phenomenal and saved me from driving around south bay searching for an affordable small patio umbrella Very nice and helpful especially on a busy weekend

If you can find help they are helpful. Also be Persistent when you want them to look for an item that is not in stock. They should physically look if it's available rather than on their little GADGET and tell you the store doesn't have it. Especially gardening items they have it in back area.

They are very kind and helpful if you can find them. When I asked about an item one employee who was too lazy to look in back told me it was all out of stock. After going to another location finding they also were out of the item, I went back to Hawthorne and that's when I found your STAR employee Gus, in gardening, who walked me over to the actual area to see if HD had my items in stock. Guess what! This store had it more then I needed snd had I not decided to "ask another employee" I'd end up driving further away to a different company for my item. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Gus and the two guys who helped me load them !

always clean even the bathrooms and Janet is the best

Received excellent service from Dana in the lighting department, and from Stephanie and Steve in the decorating department. All three of them were very professional and helpful. The only bad thing about this store is that they took out the cashiers and everything is self checkout.

They have a great paint station here, and the guy who usually mans the paint at nights - Aaron - absolutely knows his stuff. I'll give him TERRIBLE directions about what I'm looking for and somehow he figures it out every time. If you need paint, go here!

Best customer service

Today I received a great customer service in Hawthorn Home Depot. Two employees helped me find items I needed to buy especially one of them taught me how to trouble shoot my garbage disposal so I didn’t need a plumber. Thank you

I just went into the store and had a very positive experience.

I usually avoid Home Depot in favor of my local mom & pop hardware store. As it was a holiday today that store was closed so I was forced to shop at Home Depot. So glad I did as the store was quiet and it had the part I needed, but I might not have found it without the personal attention I was given by an employee named Matt! He really made my day and makes me think twice about avoiding Home Depot in the future.

Saw in the app the item I needed was in stock but no location given. I ask an employee on location and she went out of her way to locate the item. With another employee using a forklift she made handed me the item. I was surprise how fast and safe they did their work.
