How do I stop cold air from coming in at the bottom of the door?
If you have cold air seeping in under the door, you'll want to fix it to keep your house cozy and prevent higher heating bills. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?
In colder climates, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, it may be a great time to clean up your home and indoor workspaces instead. A few days cleaning the garage or shed will pay off when spring comes. If your tools and gardening supplies are all set, tackle cleaning the rest of the house. Get out the cleaning supplies and cleaning tools, then give everything a good scrub.

How can chainsaws help with tree and yard cleanup?
If you've got spare wood and extra wooden pallets drying out, cut them up with a chainsaw in the springtime so you can store them or get rid of the wood. Spring is a good time to organize the pile of firewood and trim tree branches too. Before firing up your Makita chainsaw, ensure that the chain isn't rusted or dull and that it's been oiled. Then, while wearing the proper safety gear, use the chainsaw to cut the wood. Make evenly sized pieces for effective storage.

Are Kids Workshops offered at the Kirksville Home Depot?
Yes, the Kirksville store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am-noon. You may reserve your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to order your kit.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

They can be purchased online at homedepot.com or in our stores. Great service for paint project!
I came to The Home Depot to get some paint to paint the interior of my garage. Jonathan helped me select the right kind of paint and also helped me select the tools I needed to get the job done. I really appreciate the customer service he provided!
