How do I know if I can rent the tool I want?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools are up for rent. You can also call first to confirm a tool's availability, or check out our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or reach out to our Rental Center associates to find where that tool is available. Can I rent a tool by the hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and bigger jobs can also be accomodated. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw blades come with saw rentals?
Yes, saw rentals typically come with blades, but we recommend that you buy a new one. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, buy a suitable blade in case you need it.
