Tony in the Garden Dept, and Fololi at the register of the Home Depot in Kahului, Maui. Both helped me secure a generator for the next emergency (post Lahaina fires -- couldn't believe they had any at all on island!) He was THE SWEETEST, most big-hearted gentleman you could ever meet! He helped me shop for the items I needed. Although they were out of gas cans, he VERY GENEROUSLY offered, and tried to insist, to let me go to his house (only 5 min away) and give me one of his own! I did turn him down as it wasn't a terribly immediate need, now that our power's restored and we finally got a Tesla backup battery hooked up. Tony did suggest which stores to find the rest of my needs and I then managed to get everything! Then, he even helped me check out with Fololi and insisted she not charge me for the oil for the generator, which, of course, she didn't! I had to give them both big hugs thanks!

The cordless vacuum uses the same battery and charger the other Ryobi equipment and tools use. This is HUGE because trying to get replacement batteries or chargers shipped to Maui for other vacuums we purchased was like an act of congress.

Vikki from appliances knows how to treat customers. She went above and beyond to help when I was in NC store and was easily reached when contacted from my home, more than once. Thank you for great customer service.

A few days ago I placed an order for two fans and went to pick them up. I always enjoy doing the curbside because the people who bring out my items are always so friendly and a joy to talk with quickly. On this visit it was a gentleman named Joe, he was so polite and easy to briefly chat with. Joe did all of the loading and I really appreciated it. That’s what makes doing curbside pickup awesome, you get someone helping to load and a conversation real quick. So if you can please reach out to Joe and let him know I appreciate him and all of his help!

Dan assisted me with an appliance special order & was a pleasure to work with as he kept me informed of the different stages, was responsive & ensured I was completely satisfied with my purchase. Mahalo for making the Home Depot experience a good one.

Shopping in a new store can be very lengthy as you have to find products and reorient yourself to the store. Staff was very attentive and helpful, directing me to products and aiding me in actually putting the products on my truck.

Gave a 4 star for their political affiliation. Staff are helpful if available, even merchandisers are helpful, prices are high but everything in Maui is high. I appreciate my pro account and ease of returns,, the app is helpful for finding items - only if you know exactly what the item is called.

The item that I needed was on a shelf very high. Almost immediately someone appeared with one of those rolling platform/ladder.

I am always helped if I need it at this store. I wanted to bring Russell in tools to your attention as well as MO in contractors desk, Adam at returns and Kelston's continuous helpful attitude.

I find the Christmas music and displays to be disgusting. It's still early October. We don't need to commercialize this holiday for 25% of the year.

I went to make a return and the return representative was not pleasant at all!!! On the other hand, the checkout clerk was very pleasant and helpful!!!

Home Depot maui is awful to purchase appliances from. beware of unmentioned 48 hour return policy on appliances. I purchased defective floor model oven/range. they refused to help me with it because I tried to return it more than 48 hours after purchase. As I went in to discuss my situation with an appliance employee. I overheard her talking to the store manager about the range I had purchased was a special order item that had been returned prior to my purchase. Then the store manager denied my return and I was given a number to LG that did not work. I had to fight with LG to send a tech to my house that is not scheduled until July 1st. I took out a Home Depot credit card to make this purchase. I'm very very disappointed with the lack of customer service. I want this resolved by the Home Depot I did not want to be left to deal with the poor customer service from LG. I feel like I was sold a defective returned item. I will never buy appliances from Home Depot. I am a project manager for a construction company on Maui. I will not be able to avoid using Home Depot for materials tools etc but I will be going elsewhere id possible. this whole situation has left a bad taste in my mouth. I will be advising others to not buy appliances from Home Depot due to the ridiculous 48 hour return policy and awful customer service

In the past a person could enter through the door that is also used for the exit. Now it is necessary to walk a long ways to the other end of the store then all the way back for the item I wanted.

Always stocked. Easy to navigate the app. great prices.

I’d come back again if I need another appliance. I also bought my dishwasher here. Ask for Carl, who assisted me. He’s the BEST.

Employees that I talked to knowledgeable on product locations. A lady employee actually walked with me and found what I was looking for. I love walking around and picking up items for various diy projects

This method of obtaining what I need is very time and cost effective. We use a lot of the lightweight tarps to help out our homeless folks. Thank you for keeping a supply of them on the shelves.

I just needed new hardware for yard work. Got a rake and shovel. So why the review. This HD had more than a couple of choices for the tools I needed. Different brands were available with prices in everyone’s budget. I wasn’t “forced” to buy a certain tool because it was the only ones being sold there. Choices are always good to have.

I went into Home Depot on a Saturday afternoon and was delighted that I was able to get immediate assistance. One of the people that could not help me (Luis) escorted me to the person who could (Mindy) and explained my needs to her and made sure she could help me before he left. I was very impressed by the extra care he took to make sure my needs were being addressed.

I needed saw blades, the in store Milwaukee Vendor was so helpful, stopped to help us in selecting the right blade for the job . The Self Service Cashier was also very helpful & nice! The shopping experience was pleasant, fast & friendly! What more could you ask for.

Curbside is the best thing that came from covid. The big thing is having people working the curbside during the hours of curbside service.

Home Depot can have great employees that are very helpful and it can have disinterested employees who don’t care about the employees nor their jobs. The Maui store is the first type. I know my way around most HDs after 20+ years as a PRO customer and 30+ years working as.a GC PM/Developer. However, I always appreciate helpful people to get me to the items I need as fast as possible. No one loves to shop for hardware and construction needs. My time is money and I can go to other chains or supply stores. I will choose HD Maui 95% of the time.
