on January 20/2024 at about 8:53pm while checking out Tysha practically jumped on my back and attacked me over a simple mistake of thinking the register was self checkout. Tysha left her register open and unattended for about 10 minutes and in that time I asked another Home Depot employee with red dreadlocks if the register was available to which she replied" aint nobody over there ". This is coming from a former Home Depot Associate who knows how much HomeDepot Values customers this is a poor example of having core values and in no way should any employee attack a customer especially while they are with their children. Tysha you are extremely unprofessional and you should be ashamed, Marcus you should have your staff reevaluated there is no way those type of individuals should be the last experience they have in your store. What a disgrace.

I purchase paper towels from here all the time, recently I just found out they come individually wrapped.

On of my favorite places to shop… It’s a toy stop for grown men.

I was about to buy a lock cutter for $32.00 and decided to talk to the gentleman at the tool rental area as a back up if the lock cutter didn’t work. He showed me an industrial lock cutter they had I could rent for $12.00. I’m so glad he advised me because it was exactly what I needed.

Never have a good experience when shopping in this store. Most items are unavailable and the customer service is not friendly. My preferred shopping location is Vauxhall.

I got screws /nails on my tires twice on your Newark, NJ store parking lot

Waited for 45 minutes for an associate to assist me with paint. She was paged 3 different times. And when she finally came she had an attitude like I had her waiting!

Had to wait 20 min in long line for SELF CHECK out and 2 women are using 2 out of 6 cashier and had to wait another 10 min after the 20 min for some one to care to ring me up

I needed to buy a mirror for a bathroom renovation and was pleased that there were many affordable options in varying sizes.

We had no issues that our cashier couldn’t help us with! She was patient, very understanding and helpful.

Great customer service claim store smelling good no problems and overall I would not mind coming back spending my money here

Terrible customer assistant

KIZZY IS ONE NASTY WOMAN AND I PRAY NO HAS TO DEAL WITH HER AT CUSTOMER SERVICE/RETURNS.

I was very happy with the sale people that helped me, they were efficient and made my experience pleasant. The parking lot was horrendous with trash and what looked like spilled cement. The parking was vey nasty.

Extremely bad customer service. Penelope the pro desk attendant was rude and aggressive, would not let me speak and cut me off when I explained my situation. When asked to speak to the manager she claimed she was the manager and hung up on me.

At checkout I asked associate to price match item to Lowe’s. Associate asked for a manager for assistance and the MANAGER informed me that this location does not participate in any price matching. The manager said other stores may price match but the Newark NJ location does not, especially not to Lowe’s because it’s their competitor. Manager also declined to provide me with the 1800 number to file a complaint or survey. If the manager is unaware of Home Depot policies that is a problem. This location needs to train or promote associates that are aware and knowledgeable of Home Depot’s policies

Use to go way out of town, took a lot of time.missed a lot of money

Although I could tell they are very short staffed, Satina greeted me and was able to identify that I needed help. Satina, Chris, and Yani were 3 associated that made my experience worth it as they gave of themselves and were willing to help the customer by going the extra mile. This is the first time that my experience has been Excellent in Garden. Keep up the good work at this store!

No matter what I’m looking for I always find it.

I got Lysol and it may not be a big purchase it the staff was amazing!

Went in for some paper towels and two big jugs of soap and Marcia the cashier helped me out with the mobile scanner so I didn’t have to keep moving around the products to doing the barcode.

Thank you all for your great customer service .

This is a great store,they are always well stocked and if you need assistance you find an associate to help.

Better place to buy household items by individuals who need technical advise or guide from in store staff who are willing to guide or advise you on any items as necessary for you to make better choice.

Customer service rep is awesome

Worse Experience with the Tool rental department. I sent out my leaf for repair and waiting 8 weeks, the leaf blower was worse than when I dropped it off. The pull rope was loose, the leaf blower would not start and was later told by the agent at the counter that no one worked on my machine. SO what did you do for the 8 weeks. Lack of follow up by the Managers at the Store. At one point i was told that my leaf blower was reach and that I would have to pick it up from the East Hanover store. SAY WHAT?
