What Halloween decor is the most popular?
Many families love Halloween and decorating with witches, pumpkins, ghosts, and of course, skeletons. Our ever-popular Skelly, the giant 12-foot skeleton, is ready for your front porch or yard. In addition, we have many other options that involve a variety of skulls and bones. Stay dead-set on eerie fun with our current Halloween skeleton decor. Make a cemetery with tombstones, then decorate it with graveyard bones and inhabitants to create a creepy atmosphere.
Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?
Yes, the Olathe store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for kids workshops isn't open yet, but kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to check availability of the kits.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
The Home Depot gift cards are a popular choice during the Holiday season, with givers and doers that can be purchased in-store at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you are a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Our gift cards can be redeemed in-store or used to make purchases online with no additional fees.
What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Propane purchase ended with success, but took a long time and was far more difficult than it should have been
I purchased 2 bottles of propane, then discovered that the kiosk wasn't working. I had to go back inside, wait in line, show my receipt, then wait for 2 phone calls, when finally an employee went to the kiosk to check it out. When I met him outside, he turned and quickly walked back inside, made a phone call, then greeted me afterward, saying that he couldn't find the person with the key to the propane cage. After a few more minutes of waiting, he returned back outside where I was waiting, then unplugged the kiosk machine, unlocked the propane cage, and loaded my 2 bottles of full propane canisters onto my truck, which was sitting only a few feet away.

They found a store somewhat locally ( but was more than willing to make the drive!), and had the other store set aside the cases that I needed ! Thank you for all of your assistance!

Cierra the cashier was extremely helpful in making sure that I received all the discounts that I could for the deck that we are working on. I would not have applied for the Home Depot card if it was not for her. In the paint department the gentleman that helped me was extremely helpful letting me know that since the deck has had no treatment and sitting for a couple of years that I should clean it with a specific cleaner that I purchased to make sure the paint would adhere and last as it should. Everyone very nice, knowledgeable and friendly great customer service!!

Average to mediocre visit.... as always.
Seems I can never get assistance and after I walk a mile to ask for help, I am told they'll get someone back to me.... but seldom happens and I have to go look for help again. Today, I slowly walked (knee problems) as fast as I could to try and catch a sales associate while saying, "Hello" "Can you help me?" etc, and I swear they kept walking forward and ignored me.
