Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

How can I decorate my home indoors for Halloween?
Browse our indoor Halloween decorations. We have everything you need for a festive Halloween, including Halloween lights, fog machines, Halloween witches, and more.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When searching generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
What home repairs should I make before winter?
Make sure your home is ready for colder weather by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be in for a real headache. Check brickwork and cinder block for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be clear to prevent ice dams. Lastly, swap out chimney caps and vinyl siding if they're in poor condition.
How can I make more space for the holidays?
As you prepare for the holidays, make extra space with storage solutions. Shield fragile items with moving blankets. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Take summer belongings out of the equation with shoe storage and other storage bins. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty.
How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Home Depot gift cards are an excellent choice for the holidays, birthdays, and housewarming parties. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. You can buy gift cards at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Redeem our gift cards for online or in-store shopping, all with no additional fees.
