What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

I cannot express this enough, this Home Depot has some of the best employees when it comes to customer service. Dennis in the tool rental section and Adam who I found recently near the yard tools. We love coming here and get what we need plus EXCELLENT customer service.

Best experience we have ever had in this Home Depot Store. Jeff was outstanding in handling our return, picking up an ordered item, and checking us out. He was extremely courteous and personal, yet speedy. John did an exceptional job with helping us order the right windows we needed and wanted. No pressure to upgrade just to make sure we were happy with what we wanted to get. We actually felt like they were there to help us and not just to get the sell.

The employees went out of their way to greet me and make sure I didn't need help, which is different than other retail stores. Well done!

It is rare that my HomeDepot doesn’t have what I come for. And more often than not the staff helps me find a substitute item for my needs. This visit I didn’t find my orchid bark but I’m assured that it will be there in a couple days. The best thing is that HomeDepots have so many items so that often unnecessary to visit other stores.

When I asked an associate for help he told me he was on his way to the "loo" or he was going to leave a mess. He didn't offer to help upon his return nor did he offer to call another associate. I found two other employees standing shoulder to shoulder helping one person. I waited until they were done and when I asked one of them for help he told me, "Back off! Give me 6 feet dude!" I found that to be quite ironic in that I was wearing a mask and he wasn't nor were any of the employees. There was no indication that the register and keypad at the self-check-out was being cleaned by anyone. I won't be going back!
