Salty Sales Associate
My son gave me a $50 gift card for my birthday back in April of this year for this store that I had attempted to use today on 1015/15. As I was standing in line waiting to purchase my items, the guy in front of me obviously had forgotten something because he left his items in mid-purchase and ran to the back of the store to retrieve other items. This took about 5-6 minutes, in fact, I had time to also run and get another light bulb and he still hadn't return by the time I had got back. The cashier was all smiles and grin when he had returned and continued to ring up his items. When it was my turn, however, her total demeanor changed. Hmmmm? Anyway, when she scanned my gift card, it read that the "card was not found". I asked her to enter the numbers. She did so and it still would not work. She then informed me that they were having issues with some gift cards and asked me if I still had the receipt. I told her no, but said I would call my son to ask him, since he had given it to me as a birthday gift. I called him and he advised that he had purchased this at a CVS store over 6 months ago with cash and he didn't have the receipt. I said ok and hung up and pulled out my wallet and handed her $60 in cash. But she just gave me a dry look and said "I'm sorry but I already cancelled your order". Then she waved to the guy standing behind me in line to come up. I said what just happened. She said, "I'm sorry but I have other customers and I just can't be standing here while you're on your phone while I got other customers. I said, "Well, I was thinking the same thing when I just had to wait 6 minutes on your previous customer to get out of line and run get something else. Nevertheless, she wanted to argue with me instead of just completing my transaction and taking my money. It took the other customer behind me to remind her that I was right and that she should had just given me a second or even asked me if I had any other method of payments before just taking it upon herself to assume that I was totally reliant on that gift card as payment. She made several other smart comments to me that I will not repeat; however, she will never get to say them to me again, as Home Depot will not get my money any more! And to Lowe's, I am so sorry for cheating on you with this salty sales associates store!

Phenomenal sales associates.
Ms. Sharon in appliances was extremely helpful. We went in to get information one week and because she was so helpful, we went home and did research and decided to go back instead of ordering on line. Her knowledge of the products was phenomenal.

Simple Refund and New Purchase
I bought the tool container at another store but needed to return it to the store which was more convenient. I did not have any problems with the return and I just bought another type container which the associate helped me with. The return and shop were quick.

Friendliness!
I had a wonderful experience at Home Depot this morning. These are not my favorite kinds of stores, but the friendliness of the associates and their over the top helpfulness made it a very positive shopping trip.

Love Ida in the paint department
Ida was really friendly and explained the differences in paint types. She continued to work to get all my paint order complete while talking and offering other paint products that I may need while the paint was being mixed. Everyone at this location is very helpful!

Availability of store associates for DIY
I felt that I was bothering busy store associates because I did not know the exact size of the item I needed.
Home Depot seems to have an emphasis on dealing with contractors and tradespeople while not being so concerned with DIY (do it yourself customers).
DIY sales are small, but they do add up. Lowes is a further drive from home and Blackhawk is a bit pricier - but they do cater to the DIY crowd.

Parking
Please replace the signs that say something like "Pros Only" .... you could replace them with "Trucks Only". I may be just a DIYr but I know more about what a "professional" job should be than many contractors and building workers. Many times I have been dismayed by workmanship that I could have done better, and have even had to redo the work of some "Pros".

I bought the wrong size window blind. Bettye was helpful, fast and accurate. I got a refund and was able to purchase the right size. This was a painless experience!

Variety in Selection
The store garden area had a rather large selection of plants and potting soils . I found the soil I needed and was in and out.

SAW WAS BROKEN BUT RECEIVED EXCELLENT SERVICE
REGGIE IN LUMBER WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP ME WITH A SOLUTION WHEN THE SAW HE WAS USING TO CUT THE MELAMIME SHELVING WASN'T FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. HE'S A RARE EXAMPLE OF GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Great store experience!
I bought four toilets and one didn't fit. I was stressed out having to order a certain toilet. The sales associate Kirhah Davis was awesome and helped me order it. They immediately got the toilet out of my van. Everyone was so nice. Then I realized the toilet didn't come with a lid and called Kirhah. She talked to the manager immediately and helped me out. Then I called back later that night to schedule an appointment with the kitchen department and she answered the phone and remembered me and set the appointment for me immediately. You never get this good of service anywhere with people so nice.

About what I expected.
I went looking for irrigation products I located on the website, but they don't carry them in inventory at the store. I need an inline vacuum relief device to prevent siphoning from the irrigation reservoir through the pump to the plants, but they didn't have any irrigation products except for lawn sprinklers. There was a vacuum breaker for a hose bib, and I managed to find enough fittings to install it in my system, but when I did that, the vacuum breaker leaked water like a fountain. Apparently, it's a pressure breaker as well. The employee who suggested the item for me apparently didn't know how it functioned. I'll be returning all the items I purchased. Sore employees were easy to find, but they were not very helpful. Also, none of the checkouts were open. The only option was self check out. This was on a Saturday afternoon, but the store was not very busy. I'm giving 3 stars, because this is the sort of thing I have come to expect from Home Depot and the blue place too: knowledgeable sales people. (I was going to go to a local hardware store, but they close early on Saturdays.) I guess I'm going to find out about Home Depot's return policy.

Immediately corrected the issue I experienced at the store
I purchased a item, when I got it home, it was severely damaged. A previous customer must have returned the item, and a clerk placed it back on the shelf for sale. It was tent for my July 4th celebration, it was a last minute quest to purchase. I had guest to be arriving in 2 hours, I took it home and tried to set it up and found that it was damaged and missing a key part of the tent. I was very upset, I loaded it back in my truck, rushed down the highway to get another one. I must say I received excellent service, the one gentlemen that helped me kept asking me is this how I got it. He finally pulled it out and saw how bad it was damaged. The top part was in the bottom of the box, that how I know it was a restocking product. I'm a Realtor in the area and I purchase a lot of items for my clients, as housewarming gifts. Also I a DIY, I practically live in HOME DEPOT.

horrible store experience
The associate could not find the product and finally just said sorry I cant find it...very rude....left store and called store asked person that answered phone if had item,,,said yes, asked where, rudely said, right by the register. We came back in and found it ourselves...customer service girl that we asked to check price,,,,,,really let us know she did not want to,,,by the sigh and finally did, we said thank you and she just looked at us and walked off. I just have never had such a bad experience ever!

Friendly and Helpful
It's always a pleasure to visit The Home Depot #3646. The store associates are always very friendly and helpful. The cashiers are friendly and cheerful. Nate in the building materials department was very knowledgable, polite and helpful - plus he has a good sense of humor. Shauntaya was very friendly and efficient at the checkout.

Exceptional Customer Service
Carlos went above and beyond to help even though I wasn't making a big purchase in the store. I was buying a piece of discounted lumber and he helped me carry, cut, and measure without rushing me. By the time we were done he had 2 people waiting to be assisted also, but Carlos made sure that I was ok before leaving me to assist somewhere else. Good customer service and good employees are hard to find, I hope that this store holds on to this guy. Definitely made my day easier provided for a great experience.
