Closet Door
We had incredible customer service from Alberto in obtaining the arrangements for the purchase and installation of a new closet door. He was patient, kind, considerate and extremely knowledgeable. Best experience I have had in quite a while. Wish I could give tips, would gladly give him a commission on this sale!

Home Depot fails to stock for winter snow
My last visit to HD was a complete waste of time. After a major snowstorm there were no shovels, salt, etc. When I asked to go into the garden center to get a metal shovel I was told that was closed due to snow. They refused to clear snow from their garden area so customers could buy shovels. When I went to the back door leading to garden center I could see clearly through the glass doors which were blocked that there was no snow in front of the area with the shovels. I was able to find a cart heaped with broken bags of gravel that the employees had just left. I scavenged that and purchased two broken bags to put on the ground. That will be my last visit to HD. It is poorly managed!

No help
It was yesterday jan. 1st and I couldn't not get anyone to help me find what I was looking for. Most of the time it's very hard to find or get help in this store. Now I'm looking for alternative store .

Repair a ramp for my use to enter home
I got these 2-4x8 sheets of plywood to cover my deteriorating ramp so I could continue to enter my home easily--I am able to do that, but the policy to allow only one cut per board made it impossible to put side rails on both boards, so they are less safe until I can manage to cut the remaining pieces myself to do that. A little inconvenient for me, but I'll eventually get it done after winter weather stops. A bad policy that you have for me there.

Silver Spring Home depot is my home place. I feel comfortable shopping there. The pro desk and customer service people attend to me cautiously and are very professional in their work. I like to shop there all the time. The workers at the self service department always attend to me very well. I give all of the 100% The manager there, is a very professional woman. I get good customer service anytime I visit the Silver Spring store.

Great Customer Support
I recently went in to get more information on replacing carpet for wood flooring. Met a gentleman named Mr. Pierre who was very knowledgeable and gave me good information. He suggested scheduling an estimate as well as taking pictures of the items I liked in wood and LVP material sku numbers to get an accurate price in scheduled for Oct 11th.

Donovan is a great representative!
I had a problem with my pot lights. The box had been opened and pieces were missing. Donovan helped me find the pieces I needed and was a true professional.

Very helpful
Miki and Dominick were extremely helpful. They helped my wife and I load 14 boxes of heavy porcelain tile into our truck and so I didn't have to do the whole thing by myself. Very thankful for their helping this disabled vet with the heavy lifting.

Awful customer service at return service desk
No one greets you. When you ask a question, they get this look on their face like they don't want to answer anything. When we asked for details about the extended warranty and how we make a claim and who we should call, they didn't even know to get that information. What should have taken 10-15 minutes took almost an hour.

This is the worst Home Depot in the whole state of Maryland.
All the supervisors all the way down to a head cashier knee training so they can train their employees cause they have no type of knowledge where nothing is at in the whole store then they gather around 2 to 4 other follow up like they’re waiting to play football you ask him where everything is that they have no idea there that you asked them. If you have a phone to look it up they say no I have to go and get one the worst Home Depot in the whole state of Maryland and I go to different stores in different neighborhoods in Maryland!!!!

Not my favorite Home Depot
I believe this is a very busy/high volume Home Depot and the staff at the customer service/online order counter are always helpful and efficient. I typically only go to this Home Depot to pick up an online order or to get something I need ASAP. The store seems to be run down or in disarray, most likely due to the customers. For me the plumbing fittings and parts have been in the worst shape, with numerous boxes of mixed up fittings. This area may have improved as its been at least 6 months since I have been in that part of the store. This trip was to pick up some spray paint. I don't know why some customers think it's ok to test spray paint before they buy it and its pretty bad in this store. Someone taped paper on the floor and I greatly appreciate that some customers choose to use it for their testing, unlike the one guy I saw test some cans numerous times on the shelf behind the spray paint. I wonder what he did with the paint he didn't buy?

Nicest cleanest Home Depot in the DMV
The stores in Hyattsville and Rhode Island are difficult to get to, crowded, and though we'll stocked usually, these stores are a mess, as welll as the parking lots. Not here. Great job. I look forward to shopping at #2551 Silver Spring again.

wood cutting
I had a sheet of plywood cut in the store, wanted 3 pieces 16 inches, got 2 at 16 and 1 at 15 . Cutter said it's the saw blade fault. I say it's the cutter's fault. At $79.00 per sheet what do you expect.

Great customer service!
An employee helped me find the correct aisle and bay. When there was no boot tray there he searched the store and he found a stack of them in the back. So he brought me some and I bought one. This was on Saturday, Feb 15, 2025. The Home Depot in Silver Spring, MD. He was a black employee. He was older that the twenties. Thank him for me please.

Overall not bad
I went to the store to urgently exchange a product I purchased online, ensuring a smooth transaction by calling ahead of time. I was told to “just bring it in.” Upon arriving at the store, I waited for a few minutes, even though no one was in the return line. The woman at the counter seemed pleasant enough and began the transaction after asking for my receipt.
After about ten minutes, she happily informed me that I couldn't return the product because the time frame had passed, which was not true. I explained that this wasn't the case, and she continued to glare at the screen for several more minutes. Long story short, this woman seemed to take pleasure in explaining that she couldn't complete the transaction, rather than try to find a way to help me. Her face was straight and expressionless when I had everything I needed, again, I called ahead. However, when unable to help, she smirked. That seems backward. I expect a more helpful attitude when spending my hard-earned money. She was also contradictory and not well trained.
In the end, I asked to speak with management, and the manager was finally able to assist me. He was pleasant and stern, but he explained things in a way that showed he cared.
I remember a time when stores trained their staff to show are and concernfor the customers keeping them in business.
On a separate note, there were two nice young ladies at the checkout who helped answeru questions when I asked. And a young man in the back (I had to hunt him down as there were few workers available) who helpful me find a lightbulb.
Stores, please train and teach compassionate and care to all employees so customers fell valued.
