Did you know?

This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot sold to Trex last year. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.

Why is there cold air coming in around the door?
If you have cold air seeping in under the door, check your door sweep, the rubber piece on the bottom of the door, for cracks and missing pieces. Replace it if needed. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What can I work on when it's cold outside?
When the temps drop outside, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, a chilly day might be a good time to rake leaves or give the mulch in the garden a stir. A few days cleaning the basement, shed, or garage will pay off when the weather warms. If your tools and gardening supplies are all set, tackle cleaning the rest of the house. Get out the cleaning supplies and cleaning tools, then give everything a good scrub.

How do I prepare for freezing temperatures and snow?
When you live in an area where snow falls, it's a good idea to organize or upgrade your snow removal equipment before a storm hits. Check that the snow blower is working and accessible, then oil up the snow shovels. Remember to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep ice melt or salt and a salt spreader. Ensure your outdoor taps are covered and drained, too, with all garden hoses disconnected. Doing this basic prep will help keep you ready for whatever winter weather brings.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?
Yes, the Teays Valley store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to order your kit.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular choice for the holidays, birthdays, and housewarming parties. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. Purchase them at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Redeem our gift cards in-store or use them to shop online with no additional fees.

Does my store offer curbside pickup?
Yes, we have curbside pickup. You can place an online order for convenient store pickup daily until 6 p.m. Here's how:
  1. Buy Online and choose the "Store Pickup" option on the product page or in your cart.
  2. Once your order is processed, you'll get an email or text message that lets you know that it's ready to pick up.
