Home Depot store with experienced employees
I went to the west Frederick Home Depot for plumbing parts yesterday. I was using my phone to check parts locations, isles and bays, but as often happens, got overwhelmed. A gentleman named Gordon came up and offered help. He is so experienced and knows wherever things are and quickly found everything I needed. I typically go to this location because there are many experienced employees who can help when needed. Saved so much of my time.

Outstanding Service
I ordered a refrigerator and stove at Best Buy. After I got home I received a text saying the delivery date had been moved from Oct. 5 to Nov. 16. I couldn't wait SIX WEEKS to get a working refrigerator. So, I took my receipts and description to Enrique at Home Depot. He immediately looked it up, did the price match which saved me money and ordered the exact pair of GE appliances I wanted. They were delivered four days later on Oct. 4. The team of gentlemen who put them together were amazingly efficient and .pleasant. That kind of service is hard to beat. Enrique's boss, Ryan, even recommended someone who could help cut a rim off of a cabinet to ensure that the fridge would fit the space. All in all a great experience.

One stellar employee, one rude, store understaffed, location of items incorrect.
The woman who helped with the toilet pickup was very friendly and helpful. I felt bad for her because she was trying to accommodate everyone but needed more help. Even though 2 customers doing a return were rude to her she remained professional.
A different woman arrived and asked if she could help. I told her I needed to pay for a toilet supply line and she seemed to become very irritated. She rang the supply line up but was rude. It shouldn't matter but perhaps she did not realize I had purchased a ~$500 Kohler toilet, and was not trying to avoid waiting in a checkout line. Her attitude was uncalled for.
I have been shopping at the West Frederick store since it was initially converted from a Montgomery Ward. Initially, the employees were well paid (a friend was a HD kitchen designer) and many were licensed trades people who were extremely helpful. Then, once most of the area hardware stores (e.g., Ingall's and Hechinger) went bankrupt, the quality of HD employees began to decline.
At this point I avoid going to the store because most employees are uninformed at best, and many seem to have low morale. They are often unfriendly and even blatantly rude.
I understand that profit maximization for shareholders is the primary goal, but it seems short-sighted to not provide employees with better pay, benefits, and training.
A relatively minor detail -- the online location given for the supply line was inaccurate. I had to hunt for it.

They do a good job at this HD store (except for the self checkout “corral”, which is a complete pain). Employees are generally friendly and knowledgeable.

Lawnmower
I spent 4K on riding lawn mower that was shipped to my house. Looked like it was pre-owned with the blades already showing rust. The biggest issue was it came with no key or manual. I called Home Depot customer service and they told me I needed to contact the manufacturer it was under warranty!! I couldn’t believe they told me they had nothing to do with it! I bought this in store not online! They shipped directly from warehouse is what is was told. I should not have to call in a warranty claim for a supposedly brand new item that cost thousands!! The service that Home Depot provided was nothing less than terrible!

Awesome customer sevice
Vickie was out side garden. She was watering the plants as the didnt look so well. I asked her where a Peonys was and she knew exactly what flower I like and helped me with some others to make my yard pretty. I also had to get some mulch. She helped me load the mulch and all. Thank u vickie my yard is going to look so pretty

Male workers will not help women with heavy equipment!
I rented 2 heavy ramps from this store and not one man in the rental office offered to help me carry them! The ramps were extremely heavy and hard to carry and lift into the truck bed. They laid them on the floor, walked away, and I had to carry them by myself. When I returned them, it was the same experience. The one guy was standing outside the rental office playing on his phone. He saw me carrying one of the heavy ramps and just stood there. NEVER helped and never even offered to help!! I went and told the manager of the store ( a woman) about my experience but, she didn't seem to care. She barely reacted. Whoever is in charge of this particular Home Depot should go there and teach every employee how to give good customer service! I will not shop there again because it's clear that no one cares about the customers.

Great customer sevice
Vickie was very knowledgeable, she was in the garden area i asked her where the chains saw was she took me right to them she knew exactly what I needed. From the chainsaw to the bar and chain oil to the bar and chain she made sure I had everything for my project. She is awesome and very great at what she does. She is great will definitely shop again to see vickie.
