How do I cut down on window draftiness?

When your windows have a lot of condensation, mold, or mildew, you likely need to replace or reseal them. If you can't install new ones immediately, seal them with caulk, weather stripping, or a window insulation kit. Use mold and mildew removers first though, and wear a respirator to avoid inhaling it. Fill any other gaps with foam tape and cover window a/c units too to keep the cold air outside. These steps should help stop the flow of cold air until you can replace the windows.

What can I work on when it's cold outside?

A weekend cleaning the garage, shed, or basement will pay off when spring comes. You won't have to replace lost tools with new ones because you can find what you've got. How do I prepare for snow and freezing temps?

When you live in an area where snow may occur, it's a good idea to organize or upgrade your snow removal equipment before a big storm hits. Have a gas can ready to top off your gas snowblower if it's not already filled for the season, or check the battery on your electric snowblower. Remember to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep ice melt or salt and a salt spreader. Ensure your outdoor spigots are drained and covered, too, with all hoses disconnected. Basic preparations like these keep you ready for whatever winter weather hits your area.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Yes, the Wilkes-Barre store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am-noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. EASY RETURN PROCESS

I HAD TO RETURN A DEFECTIVE WATER HEATER, AFTER 4 YEARS, AND THE PROCESS WAS EASY AND QUICK WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL. IT WAS A WARRANTY RETURN THAT HOME DEPOT AND RHEEM HONORED AND REPLACED

RIP OFF

I purchased an item yesterday along with several other items and used a gift card I received for Christmas. I used my debit card to pay the balance because my purchases exceeded the gift card. The next day I needed to return an item because it was the wrong electrical device for my job. The package was unopened. The clerk would not give me a refund for the item because I used a gift card. Instead she gave me the difference between the item and the amount I paid with my debit card which was $2.73. Who does that? I will never purchase anything from Home Depot again. Don't buy anyone a Home Depot gift card.

Great Customer Service

The Christmas trees are very nice and there is a beautiful display in the store. The store is very tidy and the staff is very helpful.... especially Assistant Manager MIKE!

The plants here are always healthy and beautiful. And they use good soil. Cashiers are nice. Some of the store employees are really great too.

Commercial Electric price shell game

Because of the lack of lighting stock I had to purchase a significantly higher priced fixture (item # 1000 021 230 ). It was $65 higher priced than the same exact fixture of the Home Depot owned brand only found on website. It was an immediate needed product for our project so I was forced to purchase the item. That $65 hurt our budget and our wallet in these times of overinflated prices. This same mass produced item is found on the internet under various brand names for significantly less purchase price. Seems like a shell game to us. Not a good look Home Depot. #tryingtobeloyaltohomedepot
